He did make 200k a year a few years back. He is/was a contractor. Their salaries fluctuate. Even accepting that he made 120k last year, he has a steady job that more than pays the bills. I'm not "assuming" anything at all but I'd say it's pretty telling that the government hasn't come out and said "None of this is true. He's making this all up". You don't know either.
