A good question would be, "Is it legal to intentionally cause an accident " ?

If a third party witnesses it , then the court will decide...They will have to prove intent...If the third party witness that has no Dog in the fight, says that you were mad,aka, Road rage, be prepared to fix your own car...

And for sure it is childish to brake check someone...That means they got under your thin skin....

From what I understand, the tailgater will cited for following too close, but the police, if they have an independent witness, can arrest you for reckless driving for Intentionally causing an accident due to road rage....
