Japanese food, Tokkuri Tei, excellent Izakaya style (small dishes type dining/also sushi, so you can try a variety of dishes). Chinese, Hee Hing Restaurant. Hawaiian food, Ono's Hawaiian Food.
Little further away at Aloha Tower Marketplace, American w/a little local flair, Gordon Birsche (along harbor waterfront). For Italian food, Paesano's in Manoa Valley. Enjoy your trip here & feel free to ask more questions. Oh yes and definitely Kahuku shrimp at the places mentioned above
