I was in the same boat, I was lurking on the forums for a year or two before I finally bought one and I mulled the idea of buying used. In the end I ponied up for a new one just because I wanted the whole experience of break in to first oil change, etc.

Good luck on your decision.
Definitely did my research. I spent countless hours reading reviews, speaking to owners, browsing forums and test driving multiple cars including the Z, EVO, Subaru WRX, BRZ, Mustang, etc. And no car except the Z was able to have the ideal balance of handling, power and styling.

I also wondered why he was letting it go and after doing a little research thanks to the help of CarFax, I came to this conclusion: The 1st owner bought it it NY over the summer and then sold the car in November. I'm assuming that he needed cash quickly after incurring damage to his home from Hurricane Sandy. The dealer purchased it and now has it sitting on the lot for over 2 months.

I thought about buying new, but the price of these cars seem a little higher than before. Also, I didn't want to take the initial hit in depreciation. And most importantly, with the money I save I can spend it on.... no not mods, but insurance

If you can really truly afford though you have nothing to worry about.

The car won't make you feel like you regretted it at all
Yup, I was concerned about the money, but after getting a good nights sleep (well not really, couldn't fall asleep thinking about driving the Z) I couldn't agree with you more. Life's short and if I don't get it now, I'll probably spend more money later on thanks to inflation.

I was searching for the best price I could find and I couldn't find any 2012's with 5000 + miles below $30k. I wish I could come across one of those deals fo a 2013.

IN CONCLUSION, I'm going to the dealer today. If there is nothing wrong with the car, it's mine.

A. If I post pics later, you obviously know I bought it.
B. If you don't hear from me for a few days, I'm out driving it
C. I haven't made a plan C yet.

Thanks for the positive reinforcement guys!!!
