is my car smart enough, saying doing let the clutch go at rpm 7 when its that cold? LOL

no problem when the car is in motion, i can hit the gas and goes all the way up to 7.

any help?
Does this happen all the time or only when it is cold? Also, does it happen when your coolant temp is Cold or at normal operating temp?

I'm just wondering if there is a feature in our cars that prevent over-revving when the engine is cold? I know in the Mazda Rx8, there is a safety feature that makes sure you can't rev it high when the engine hasn't reached operating temperature.

Word of caution: You shouldn't be revving your engine and holding your revs (for a sustained period) close to the redline when it is cold or in N or when there is no load (clutch in).
