Ok. Let's say when you stop at a light and you're the first car, now that you're starting from 1st, when (at what rpm) do you shift to 2nd?

When I "shift" slowly at 3k in every gear, I often find myself being "pushed" by some a-hole pickup from behind.

They way I launch is rev to 2k let the clutch out like normal and once you feel it hook up don't just floor the gas instantly that only causes tire spin or traction control to kick in if you have it turned on. Once the clutch is out I gradually increase throttle input. Also, make sure your tires are warmed up for best traction. If you let a CR-V beat you definitely doing something wrong. Why are you shifting out of 1st at 4k anyway? You are trying to beat the CR-V right?

Op, I would suggest to do your learning at a local track or on a private street.

Please refrain from making anymore comments of trying to learn on a public street.

What you're engaging is by all means illegal in public, and if you feel it's NOT Try it with a Police Car nearby and let's us know how it went.

PLEASE do your learning launches at the track where it belongs or a PRIVATE road.

NO other Warning will be given.

Thank You.
