He's misinformed (at least about OEM). The OEM intakes are high off the ground. If you flood the engine with the stock intakes you have MUCH bigger problems to deal with than a flooded engine.
Injen's long tube intakes put the filters very low, however, so water ingestion can be a problem in a deep enough puddle. A few people have flooded their engines with them.
