anyway, with that the barrel is interchangeable between 5.56 and 7.62 NATO. Much like how the M240's are. Just twist barrel off and put a different caliber barrel in it. I think the mag can feed 7.62 rounds also

No clue what that would be. The M6 is made by LWRC and is 5.56 - not barrel interchangeable. Maybe the SCAR Mk16 or Mk17, or maybe the Bushmaster ACR. I've shot the ACR semi-auto in 5.56mm. It's OK, although not something I'd be interested in.
AFAIK, 7.62 barrels aren't available for the ACR.
