MARYLAND—The unlicensed transportation of handguns in vehicles is prohibited,
except for a variety of lawful purposes, including target shooting. A handgun must be transported unloaded and in an enclosed case or holster with a strap.
I travel to about 17 states a year for competitions and I usually drive but sometimes I fly. I am a resident of Indiana but I live in MD due to being stationed here in the military.
We have competitions here in MD and people come from other states all the time to shoot.
