Looking for a budget summer performance tire to replace my balding RE11s. I'm leaning toward the Bridgestones (yes, I've read some reviews before posting this) but the Nittos look intriguing.

Looking for a budget summer performance tire to replace my balding RE11s. I'm leaning toward the Bridgestones (yes, I've read some reviews before posting this) but the Nittos look intriguing. I had some NT555s on my Mustang and liked them a lot. Because I have another vehicle, grip is more important to me than tread life. Thoughts?

UPDATE: Pulled the trigger on a set of S-04s. Thanks for the replies guys!
I may not get to use them for a while since I've almost got my new (to me) beater on the road and the Z will be going away for the winter. I'll likely refinish my rims when I make the swap too; changing rubber is a good excuse to fix curb rash and play with wheel color.
