How long does the OEM tires on the 2013 Z suppose to last you?

Title says it all, Im swapping my OEM tires today for the Continental DWS.
Mine Lasted just past 10k miles. Some burnouts, Drifting.
And getting an Alignment, Hopefully this solves all my problems if not, suspension and rotors are next.

Anyone have any experience with the DWS's? Feedback in the snow?

No tires will last long on a Z.

Sounds like you were having fun with only 10k and done. Mine lasted right at 23k and the rears were done and the fronts had about 5k of life in them. My tires were the Yokohama Advan sports. Were these on yours as well. My new set of tires are the Bridgestone S04's. Ride quality is good but I wouldnt advise using these for the track or drifting. Side walls are spongier but the off set is a better, quieter ride.

i got about 10K on the RE050's.

i run DWS on my fwd dd as winter tires in a snow belt state. the tires do very well for light snow. but starting around 2-3inches deep the tires dramatically loose grip. it's no match for snow tires, but the best all seasons ive tried through the years. very long lasting too.

downside... sidewall is mush, not a fan of round sidewall appearance, and blooms (browns) very easily.

Rotors won't help your tires last longer FYI lol

wanker 08-07-2014 03:04 PM

10,000 to 25,000 miles with proper alignment. However, with burn-outs and drifting, much, much less.

Also drifting is hard on suspensions, so you need to check your alignment more frequently.

Hmm yea, hopefully after today my car will be brand new, decided to just get the rear tail light replaced, new tires, alignment this 7 hour drive to Canada is gonna be sexy.

my rears lasted 9400 miles/1 year driving were just barely 4/32 when i switched out tires last Friday. no abuse to the tires mostly back and forth to work, puttering around town, some back road curvy driving, a trip to atlanta and one to st louis.

RonRizz 08-07-2014 03:35 PM

12k I replaced my rears.

How much did the DWS cost you? I'd be interested to see how you feel about them. I was debating on getting a set, but not sure how I feel about all-seasons..
