Black Konig Afterburner Wheels on 370z?
What do you guys think? Would it look ok? Would they fit and what sizes would work best?

20" ones are the only ones with wide enough wheels for the Z, and with that go 20x10 +25 in the back, and 20x8.5 +30 up front. Those are the closest to decent offsets that you will find in that wheel. I'd still suggest a 10mm spacer up front, and a 5 or 10 in back to have the wheels flush though. Personally, I would spend a little more money and get get a higher quality wheel for the Z. Konig's aren't bad, but there are certainly better ones out there...but if that's what you want then what I mentioned above will work  |

Beat me to posting the pic man. LOL

why Fail?? i know a guy that knows a guy that knows people that rob people that can get the rims
OP, PM me about it |
THey are very nice wheels, but you should do what I did with these companies. My 350z could handle a 9.5 up front, so I bought 2 19x9.5(usually for the rears) and so 20x10 for the rear. THe offset is a +25 for both fitments, and man it looked good on my Z. The good thing is, the back of a car will always make a wheel look smaller, so it balances out. Also I hate how 20's feel on the Z, feels like the car is floating to me, so it made me love this type of setup.
|
Thanks for all the input. I was thinking they'd look best on a black or blue Z. As far as the rims being low quality, I agree, but I really like the look of the black wheel w/the rainbow prizma lip. If anyone knows of a higher quality rim w/the same look let me know. As far as putting 19's up front and 20's in the back, does anyone have any advice on this. Has anyone done this yet w/their 370z? And if so have you experience any problems with your ABS, TC, etc? I agree lemansz20, I think it would look sick.
|
TC and ABS is based on tire size, so just match diameters with tires and you won't have any issues.
I don't know of anyone that has done staggered diameter wheels on the 370 yet, but a lot did it on the 350. if you go 19x9.5, try and get near 20-25 offset for the front and you won't need any spacers. For the rear, 20x10 and as low as you can go (I think 25 is what was offered). I am not 100% sure, but I think there might be some Volks that have the burnt lips??? |
hummm.... konig's on a 370Z? no~~~ :D
maybe on a genisis or civic or xB or something. |

The TPMS is pretty much the same on the Z, I am a huge nerd and checked it out. A tire pressure sensor is just that, it is not going to read the size of the wheel, its going to read the pressure of the tire. I have lots of friends with konig wheels and they dont have issues at all, been running them for a while too.
I mean I live in miami so Im sure my roads are a little better then some, but still the wheels arent bad, dont know why they have such a bad rep. Call these guys, wheelsdirectonline.com, theirs a guy named chris who has a 350z. A little bit of a talker, but knows his stuff. Thats where I got mine back in the day. |

I was waiting for that picture! LOL |
YOu know guys your car isnt that much more expensive then a genesis. The car is really not a bad car at all, and has lots of potential. So sorry to tell you, but if forged wheels cant be afforded, let the guy buy what he wants, b/c what hes looking at is not a bad company at all.
|
those rims are ugly... like really ugly
there are other options if forged rims cannot be bought.... let alone 3 pc rims... go for others or used sets |
get the sport package wheels in the private sale section.

There is a huge difference between the 370z and the genesis. I just don't understand why someone would want to put those rims on a car that deserves so much better. If anything your degrading the z by putting those things on. :shakes head: |
degrading it by putting something that look like it was designed in the 70's
|
Dude are you kidding? What do you think your driving?? You must have a ferrari emblem on your 370 I guess, b/c the genesis costs like 30k, and yours around 35k. Your car is a much better performance car yes, but when I had my 350, sorry to tell you, I knew what I was driving. I know what I paid for and thats final, I wasnt driving an m3 or cadi cts v, I was driving a nissan.
|
^^ not a good enough reason to put ugly mofo rims on the Z... or any car...lol

like i said, konigs belong on genesis or civics or xB's... get the factory 19's in the private for sale section. much better deal. :) |
I wouldn't hesistate to put these on one of those 350z pieces of crap, it would have to be the interlagos fire color though. With burnt exhaust tips, burnt shift nob...I'd drive it.

Bottom-of-the-barrel crap like Konig is as low as you can go. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the factory Sport wheels. They look great, are aggressively-sized, forged and for chrissakes made by Rays. Swapping them out just for the sake of "having rims" is not only ghetto but the ultimate face-palm. I'm not saying this car only deserves premier brands like HRE, Fikse, or Dymag...spending $8-10K for wheels/tires when it's all said and done is awesome if you can swing it, but it is a $35K Nissan after all. However, going with wheels catered to the broke, teenaged, entry-level "tuner" crowd is laughable. How about a set of Volk, SSR, Advan, BBS, Gram Light, Work, or similar? If you can't afford comparable wheels to those names, why bother? |
the factory sport rims are Rays ENG Forged rims
go and have a look at the aftermarket Rays... they are made by the same company |

can we all forget about the brand and how crappy it is... or the quality issues....wtv
the rims are ugly.... what more do you want...lol even if they were forged, it would still be ugly...ha |
You say their ugly, but that is YOUR opinion. Their are volks that people think are ugly. Its with everyone that has their own opinion on something to choose what they want.
Someone said konig was the bottom of the barrell, but sorry their not. Their are companies out there, that make real crap. Its just the reality of cheaper wheels, but I mean if these wheels cost around say 1600 dollars, that isnt exactly cheap per say in ones mind. Also who ever said the 350z was a piece of crap, you might want to look at your car and realize thats where your drivetrain came from. SO you technically just called your 370z a piece of crap, b/c the last year Z's had basically the same motor and transmission. I again will say the 370z is a great car, and this argument is based on buying cars new. The E46 m3 is an older car already, but you cant compare pricing to the new m3 can you? I am just saying to each his own, I think their nice, and I know friends that dont drive crap cars, and are very happy with them. Oh and just so everyone knows, theirs a couple of ways to make a cast wheel, so yes their is a large difference in quality with cast wheels depending on which ones you buy. |
some volks are ugly.... bot those konig take 1st place....lol
dont even start about Rota's.....lol |
lol Good Ol Rotas, I ran them on my old subaru and no problems, but I have to laugh, b/c like a year and a 1/2 later the guy I sold them too, cracked one, dont know how though. I have to admit though, they are CHEAP. You could probs break 3 of those things and still not have a bad day lol.
