Ordering Work vs xx Wheels

1 Attachment(s)
Hello everyone,

I am about to order work vs xx (not step lip) for my 11 370z touring/sport package.

Option # 1 :

Front - 19x10 +40

Rear - 19x12 +30

Tires - Front - 265/35/19 Rear - 325/30/19

Option # 2 :

Front 19x9.5 +33

Rear 19x11 +18

Tires - Front - 255/35/19 Rear - 305/30/19

Will these set ups work without any issues? I do not want to lower, space or modify camber.

I want the car to be flush width wise. I am not concerned with wheel gap.

Anyone have some feedback or recommendations on these set ups?

Also, any opinions on Burning Silver or Gold Wheels on Gun Metallic Z?

I appreciate any help on this.

Great choice I love the work vs-xx. As far as the offsets, im not that knowledgeable as others. Good luck!

I would go with the burning silver to better suite the color of your Z. Im not a fan of gold but just my opinion.

Thanks for your opinion. I like the silver as well. I have seen some gold on Gun metal set ups that look good though..

go with option 1, run a 285 35 19 front tire with a 7.5mm spacer.

rear might need a 5 or 10mm spacer.

but a 285 / 325 does look awesome.

Won't a 285 tire rub in the front?

I ran the numbers through the offset calculator and compared to my sport wheels which are 19x10 +30 the 19x12 +30 will extend outward 25mm.

Correct me if I am wrong but when someone gets spacers and want to be flush they get 25mm in the rear? So according to the calculator wouldnt the wheels be flush or is it different when it comes to spacers?

If so, do you suggest lowering the offset in the rear so i wont need a spacer?

What offset would be flush with a slight poke on stock ride height?

I was chatting with a work wheels dealer and they said for a 9.5 in front do a +22 offset. But wouldnt this push the front wheels out too far past fenders?

Thanks for the input.

daisuke149 04-21-2014 04:17 PM

I ran a +27 front offset with 275 tire. and a +20 rear offset with 325 tire.

oem camber no lowering, no spacers.

to make the 285 fit a 33 front should be good. I believe Mike runs a 285 but his offset might be 35

What were your wheel widths front and rear with those offset? Any pics to show?

daisuke149 04-21-2014 04:19 PM

10 front 12 rear.

pics in here somewhere.

That looks CLEAN!

So your white Z the first one on that link is not lowered, spaced or anything? I am thinking I should go with those offsets then, because you have a slight poke as well right?

daisuke149 04-21-2014 04:23 PM

it poked slightly so i lowered it .5" and that took care of it. camber arms up front were oem, rear I had SPC but set to oem spec.

yeah that was my car.

ok so if I kept my offset on the 12" rear the same as my original post it will look flush but no poke?

Also the 10 +27 up front will look good on mine rather than the +40? Wont the +27 slight poke out too much?

In your opinion what offsets front and rear would be flush with a slight poke with a 19x12 rear and 19x10 front on stock ride height and no additional mods. Reason I ask is I am able to specify the exact offset I want when I order....?

daisuke149 04-21-2014 04:32 PM

if you stick with 10 and 12 you can use my offsets and know how it will look / fit.

if you want to reduce poke just add 5mm to them. so 32 and 25.

now keep this in mind that the tire you use matters also. I used Conti DW's. they are a bit rounded. Michelins are known to be wider than other tires.

if your worried, go higher offset as you can always add a spacer if you need to.

Ok so on the pictures on the link you posted, is that before lowering your car 0.5 inch? and any other mods

daisuke149 04-21-2014 04:49 PM

in those pics that was after i just slapped em on. nothing adjusted yet.

I see. This extremely helps me out. Thank you.

So with the 12 +20 you need to lower it because it poked too much at stock height?

With 12 +25 it should poke slight and look good at stock ride height?

Also can you tell a big difference in handling on the car with the 10 up front and 12 rear?

daisuke149 04-21-2014 05:56 PM

it didnt poke too much. nothing rubbed or anything. it was like a perfect fit. the compression made it slight right under the fenders.

i wanted to close the wheel gap a bit so i lowered it.

as you can see there was really no camber added.

adding +5 to each of my offsets is def a safe bet

It looks awesome. I like how they look as is. are those pics after you lowered?

Maybe I should stick to your offsets then....hmm

Do you have an album with more pics at different angles?

If you want these wheels we will need to help you find the correct disc size, just choosing an offset and width by themselves will not be the complete answer with any of the VS line

No, I'm not a vendor but Mark at RavSpec will be able to take care of you, according to him A-disc is more than fine:

http://www.the370z.com/tires-wheels/...any-specs.html

Send him a PM to be sure and he can get you a price and availability details. Work wheels can sometimes be a little difficult to find but Mark may already have a set that you need in stock.

daisuke149 04-21-2014 06:54 PM

yeah def talk to Mark at ravspec. if its wheel related, he can get it for you.

Thanks daisuke,

I am thinking raise your front offset 5mm and keep the rear the same...

Radride 04-22-2014 07:57 PM

I've got 20x9.5 T disk +20 offsets on the front and 20x12 +26 A disk on the rear in step lip VS XX coming. Also, the OP should know that you will most likely have to run a spacer on the front if you order a 19" wheel or 20" wheel in a non step lip design VS XX. Order wheels with that in mind.

R.K.

Wiggins3377 04-22-2014 08:22 PM

I'd call or private message Mark at RavSpec (forum Sponsor), he'll tell you exactly what you need to meet the style/ look you're looking for. I've ordered three sets of Works through him and have been extremely pleased with the service each time.

R disk won't fit the front's. T disk will only fit with a step lip 20. 19's and 20's flat lip will not clear with even a T disk and will require a spacer. Refer to my post above.

I see, so there is no way i can have the non step lip all around with my specs? without any issues?

Work Vsxx. 19x10 -2, 19x12 -2. More aggressive than you are looking for.

Nice! what offsets would you recommend with a 19x10 front and 19x12 rear for a slight poke?

Man I hate making recommendations, I'm still not to comfortable with offsets, etc. Talk to Mark, he'll know exactly what you're looking for. Tell him I sent you.

Early 2014, WORK released new spec for the VSXX to clear 370z akebono without any need of a spacer - according to mark @ Ravspec

Just FYI

I know. That's only for the step lip 20" wheels. The regular wheels in 19's and 20's will require a spacer. That's why I ordered what I did.

Goodluck.
