how long did it take them to do all 4 of your wheels? I am assuming they stripped everything completely off like the wheel weights, sticky residue, etc. right?

Joepro 01-07-2014 09:37 PM

5 days I think...it was a decent turn around time, it just depends how busy he is.

Alright sounds good. I just emailed them to see if they are able to fix rash at all on rims. Do you happen to know the answer to that?

Joepro 01-07-2014 10:12 PM

I do not see why not, Im sure that wont be an issue. just sand it down during prep before its pc'ed I imagine.

ok cool. I emailed them so we'll see what they say for sure. After the time you've had with the rims after powder coating you would recommend them?

They will do an acid bath to eliminate all paint down to the metal and will buff light sand the rash marks also powder coating is a fairly thick layer of paint so it would hide any minor imperfections as well.

Got mine done last summer for 300.00 he sandblast the wheels and then powder coats.

Do you think this will be covered?

I was wondering if anyone has any experience with getting them put through an acid bath and powdercoated to match the stock color as closely as possible. I wanted to have the insides of the wheel coated as well due to stock color looking pretty worn in there now.

Is this possible on stock alloys?

If you were in SoCal I'd recommend Son Tran. He's the man! Here's what he did with my curbed Nismo wheels. www.tinyurl.com/sontranreview
