My impressions:
dry Grip - at least as good as stock, might be a tiny bit more sidewall flex, but overall I am happy with the traction.
wet confidence - definitely better than stock in the rain, I feel a lot more confident on these tires
Noise - after putting my stock wheels/tires back on for a few days since I am getting my wheels powdercoated, I gotta say that the stock are quite a bit louder than the V12's
Overall - will definitely buy again, fantastic tire for the $$

Did you notice much difference in steering response going to a 255 up front?

I just replaced my stock tires with these and I couldn't be happier. They perform above and beyond my expectations. I was going to buy the stock tires again till a guy from the dealership told me to give the hankooks a try. They perform much better than the potenzas, plus they are noticeably quieter. sin

**price didnt matter to me since I own my own business, but buying a product thats "better" and "cheaper" is a no brainer, Dont have to be rich to be smart.

Anyone have these and drive them in the cold weather? I want to make sure they don't have the OEM scrapping/frozen/grinding issue. Let me know, thanks.

hahahah i cant believe i just saw this thread. joeD not this again. We've been there done that with your "i'll stick to the expensive stuff" from that falken thread. Dude....if 99% of the consensus is in disagreement with you maybe you need to start re-evaluating yourself. But then again, since u dont live paycheck to paycheck i guess you're better than all of us so it doesnt matter in the end.

Um...
No...
Out stockies are way better than the hankook's.
If you track you'd know the huge difference.
If price is a huge factor, I guess the hankook's are worth it.

Thank you for stating that as I just purchased the Nitto NT05 and absolutely love them. I was starting to think wait a minute the Hankook's have a higher tread life then both the Bridgestone’s and the NT05 and they perform better then the Bridgestone Potenza's?

The NT05's grip really well when taking a hard corner and basically just grip well no matter how hard I push my Z. At high speeds the NT05 track much better then the Bridgestone Potenza's. I thought Bridgestone’s were a bit twitchy at high speed.:eekdance: NT05's are actually less harsh over rough streets as well. Got a winner here! Now we will see how long they last. I got 19,500 out of the Bridgestone's, yeah I drive a lot.

Is anyone running these in a 275 Front 305 Rear on the stock sports wheels?

DIGItonium 02-20-2010 09:23 AM

There's a slight ice storm going on today. Slight loss of traction is to be expected with the HK Evo, but I like how it handles cold temps so much better than the stock tires. Plus, I think warm weather grip exceeds the stock tires as well! It just feels different.

RCZ 02-20-2010 09:32 AM

^ Thats what I heard. As long as you keep them at a regular operating temperature they are fine. If you get a good bit more heat into them they slide like butter.

Up to a certain temp they are better than stock grip, but after that threshold they go to hell. Luckily you will never get to that point on the street.

Oh, I don't know about hot weather testing yet. I honestly don't remember how good the T1-S and T1-R tires are. I wasn't too crazy about these tires, and the price was overkill for everyday driving.
