My new weds!

Just installed my Weds Sports TC105N's today and just thought I would share some pics! For those of you who don't know, they are super light racing wheels. Fronts are 18X9.5 +35 and weigh 17.6 lbs and rears are 18X10.5 +12 and weight at 18.4lbs.!

15mm spacers for the front should arrive on Monday to flush it up like the rears.

binary0x01 11-17-2012 12:59 AM

Awesome.

How much btw? from where?

blueranger 11-17-2012 11:04 AM

Good fit... What size tires are you running?

chrischhorn 11-17-2012 07:58 PM

$2200 for the set from vivdracing. I'm running a 255/45 up front and a 275/40 in the rear. Thinking I might go with a 295/35 next time for the rears but we will see.

binary0x01 11-17-2012 08:50 PM

Nice, not bad for sweet wheels.

XiP 11-17-2012 10:36 PM

Looks really clean!

chrischhorn 11-18-2012 01:30 AM

XiP 11-18-2012 11:31 AM

Cool, well enjoy your time in Hawaii! You should haul some snow on a truck and then build a snowman on the beach :D

I'm planning on doing a photoshoot as soon as I find a good place to take pics, the amuse kit's awesome, gets a lot of attention and thumbs up from people when I drive around, nobody has tried to race me yet lol

Waiz 11-27-2012 01:10 PM

Classy setup, nice job!

Red_Z 11-27-2012 01:21 PM

Makes me think about staying at 18" when I upgrade my wheels.

Looks killer!

chrischhorn 12-05-2012 03:40 AM

Thanks all! I'm LOVING these wheels. They look great and I'm able to go wider tires and still each corner is about 6lbs lighter then the stock 18's! A couple more pics after the spacers and a wash!

leighspped 12-05-2012 04:07 AM

i really like that last shot

Shotta 12-06-2012 07:31 AM

They look great. If you shaved 6 lbs per wheel/tire off then your acceleration should feel much faster now.

On previous cars I owned, every time I went from a heavier wheel to a lighter wheel, even if only slightly lighter, it always felt like I added a bunch of HP to the car.

I plan on getting the same wheels for my track setup.

Were you able to fit your factory TPMS?

FlawlessZ 12-06-2012 12:21 PM

Looks great, please tell me whats your suspension setup?

Tanabe GF210 springs on stock struts.

Shotta- factory tpms fit perfectly fine. no issues at all and yes the acceleration feels much better and a much quicker response to throttle. I love these wheels as I am going for more of a track setup.

danegrey 12-06-2012 01:16 PM

nice set of wheels

VDC_OFF 12-06-2012 01:21 PM

I <3 these wheels, awesome choice! I would have gone with a lower offset on the front but those spacers should help. Price for these are out of my range right now so I went with RP03 18x10's all the way. Not as light as yours, I think mine are at 22lbs. Add these pics to the 18" wheel thread! Congrats!

thanks! the lower pics have the spacer on and help trekondously to finish the look. i didnt feel like running excessive amounts of camber to squeeze the 9.5 +10 up front so the spacer was the best way to go for me. with kh effective offset up front now being at +20 with a 15mm spacer, i still get a little rubbing on bjg bumps which hints that i made a good decsion to go higher offset with spacer. I'm nof as ballsy and some of you other fellas out there lol.:bowrofl:

JollyGoodChap 12-12-2012 04:28 PM

nice wheels! Front lip looks good too!

djtodd 12-12-2012 07:35 PM

Nice! Might consider these as an alternative to the ever present te37s for track set. See enough of those at the track as it is!

thats why i wanted to go more rare weds. the common issue is they only come no larger then 18's which is why most go with te's. there are 3 370's with aftermarket wheels so far that ive seen and 2 have te37's maybe the 3rd one too but 2 for sure.

djtodd 12-12-2012 08:53 PM

Yeah, I would want 18s anyway. Grats again!

leeb8 12-13-2012 06:19 AM

I'm sold

chrischhorn 12-21-2012 06:36 PM

thanks for the compliments! i was surprised. i was expecting a lot of "looks to small for the 370."

Function over form for me.
ie: Those 18s will make the guys with 40lb 20s look like they're in slow motion.

mwhit02 12-21-2012 09:11 PM

they look undersized

Z-Girl 12 12-21-2012 09:14 PM

Nice setup!

Gaston370Z 12-23-2012 09:52 PM

I like them! I am looking at this exact set up, for my solid red Z.

KevinN 12-28-2012 11:34 PM

what size tires are you currently running in your last set of pics?

HArturo319 12-29-2012 01:18 AM

Not my style but you're ahead of me on the mod race

Not everyones style but I'm very happy with it. Me personally would love a set of nismo wheels but tires are so expensive that I just couldn't justify buying them for the price of some higher aftermarket wheels. Plus these are even lighter then the Nismo wheels so very happy about that!

Did they come with centercaps or no, can't be 100% sure with no wheel close up pics.

I love these wheels.

Thanks! They did not come with the centercaps....They were $40 each lol. They also will not work with hub centric rings as the center caps are the type that go through the backside of the wheel. For now, I will stay with the hub centric rings but will quite possibly order the caps eventually.

So if you order the $40 caps, will they work with the rings... or since they come through the wheel do they work as center cap and rings?

They will not work with the rings and unfortunately no, they do not double as rings which is why I opted for just the hub rings for now. The lugs seem to seat well enough to where I'm sure there will be no vibration without the rings but $40 EACH for center caps or $1.37 each ring? Plus I had to buy the wife a big present for Christmas so she was priority lol

Of course. :tiphat:

If I get a set of these, they will be track wheels only so it won't be a big deal and I'd just get the rings as well. I just think that's crap when you get wheels like these or the TE37SL's that look so good, but then have that wheel hub center sticking out that imo ruins it. :(
