My new stock 19" rays paint design!
 

Well I'm kind of nervous about posting these pictures of my wheels to say the least. I have already posted in the Mid-A section and got some positive comments so I'm going to post it out here for all to see.:tiphat:

Well guys here is my most recent mod. First off this was done while on vacation. So me being lazy I paid a close friend to do it.lol ...as far as I know I am the only one running with this paint design.

What does everyone think? I personally love it and think it changes the whole look of the car.

Does it look good on the z? No. But its all about personal prefrences, dont let any other comments affect you.

Thanks for all of the replies guys. I know how specific the Z community is so I planned on getting some mixed thoughts from other members. But I am very specific when it comes to my car and I wanted something different. I loved how the stock wheels locked when plastidipped/powder coated/painted black. I just wanted something a little more unique, which by the comments it looks like I have achieved.

Also gy954 we used duplicolor satin black wheel paint. It will last.

I wondered the same thing....how would the reverse look?

Interesting, but I think it makes your rim look smaller than it actually is.

I'm not a fan at all, looks cheap and hides the original wheel design (which I like). If you did the reverse, like the pic above, it would look better

:tup: this looks cool too-so many different looks from the same wheel-that's the mark of a truly well designed component. Everybody likes to mod their car, make it unique, Nissan has made it easy to do just that. :icon17:

man thats pretty sick, great idea love the look very creative, im sure we will start seeing more and more ppl copying that design now on the forum lool way to go to be the first to do it, would love to see videos or pics of the car rolling bet you the look like blades :D

I really love the stock sport rims.. I've been looking at aftermarket rims and none really make me go "wow those would make my car look a lot better."

not being critical but (especially from an angle) that design reminds me a little bit of those fake 'rim' hubcaps/spinners that you can get and stick on your car lol

although.. it does make your car look like it has spinners and maybe that's a look you're going for hehe I think I would just have the entire rim that gunmetal colour.. but either way your sport rims are definitely different than all the other sport rims now :tup:

I really like that gold look. Did you use plastidip I'm assuming? I want to do my stock rays in a gold or bronze but would rather get it powder coated.

It's Konig not a shortened name off Koenigsegg the supercar lol. But I am white and I think both of the wheels you mentioned are ugly as hell. So no I do not think it's a white people thing. :shakes head:

I like the new wheels. I would probably do the silver part in red, but that's just me. Keep it up man.

Props for creativity, I would have guessed aftermarket wheels. Im not a fan of silver and black twotones. Nicely done though.
