I don't ever suggest 20's unless it's the last resort |
i did a lot of research before finding the offsets that work on stock suspension.
this including playing around with my sport 19's with spacers before going aftermarket. so yah, i think if you follow my recommendation you will get a clean ride with a slight tuck, but not sunken in. with the wheel gap in consideration, even a slight poke will look like one messed up on his calculation especially if you get broad shouldered tires. honestly wheel shops need to do more research for non-dropped cars imho. |

I'm running 275/35-19 Mich PSS and 325/30-19 Mich PSS on Forgeline rims. 9.5x19, +25 and 12x19, +28. Stock height.

yah, needs lowering

Soooo bringing this back to life, what are the ideals for 18's at stock height? I was poking around at getting some raijin earlier but now I'm not too sure (I wish I could make up my damn mind haha). If I wanted to stick to 18's what would be ideal? Kenchan was along the lines I was thinking but with 18 and +15 in the rear:
18x9.5 (+22) 18x10.5 (+15) Tire size I am totally lost. I want a "slight tuck, but not sunken in" as Chan suggested to minimize rub. I'm also not afraid to use spacers. Any suggestions or pics? |

Rubbing on fenders comes from going with a poke (not tuck) in offset setting the wheel outwards from the hub not inwards PLUS a drop. The above widths and offsets are a "flush" set up. At stock height it may have a slight poke since you won't be cambering in much (stock -1 neg camber) I'm not sure why you want to tuck the wheels, flush at a minimum so your car doesn't look weak. Just my 2 cents. Also to answer your tire question- 2 best options for the most common 265-40-18 front 285-40-18 or 305-35-18 rear |

18x9.5+22 18x10.5+12 A quick lesson- if you stay with those widths then if the number goes up then it will actually sink in more or end up closer to the hub. Lower number would yield pushing it out or "poking" the rim/tire Tire size you can go 255-40-18 front 305-35-18 rear Or 265-40-18 and 285-40-18 rear You can mix and match above as they would both fit on the rim sizes above adhering to the lower tire size for the 9.5 and the 285 or 305 for the rear rim. |
gotcha. That makes much more sense. Alright well thats cleared up now all I'm waitin on is time. Thanks , reps

Went to a 305.30.19 with 20mm spacers. |
Volk GT-30's in 20x9.5+35 & 20x10.5+10 tires 255/30/20 & 305/25/20
That's kaizen specs.... I'm contemplating on buying a a set but with these specs: 20x9.5+24 and 20x10.5 +23 any problems with stock height ? Will it stick out too much ? |
