Varrstoen 2.2.2 (track 200) et questions.. Too aggressive?

Damn.. I really hope that someone can help me with this. :hello:

I purchased a new set of Varrstoens 2.2.2 for my 370Z (18" fronts 9,5" et12 and rears 10,5" et22)

I was just test fitting these to my car and it looks like front ET is too wide? Or too aggressive.. Or am i just hallucinating when comparing to standard 18" wheels..?

When the car was raised up it looks like wheel comes out something like 3-5 centimeters? I couldn't get it lowered for test because i don't have tires at them right now..

BTW wheels clears my bigbrakes great. (gap was about 1cm)

:ughdance: Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but don't people usually do +22 in the front and +12 In the rear? It sounds like you got your offsets mixed up

You are correct.

It will fit with some camber though.

Damn.. that's what they are selling.. :shakes head:

varrstoen - products

Select Nissan and 370Z (brembo) and application gives these:

Perfect fit
Front:18x9.5J et12
Rear: 18x10.5J et22

I think that et12 in front does have something to do with brake caliper clearance?

Anybody with et12 in front?

I was planning to put Michelin PS2 265/40 in front and 295/35 rear.

TerribleONE 04-11-2012 11:37 AM

it should fit with some camber.. but yea most people go with +22 front and +12 rear for those widths

corbin09 04-11-2012 11:46 AM

I thought the +22s didnt clear the brake caliper? It will fit just use a little bit less tire (235/245 range) and a little negative camber. It wont stick out as far when you car is lowered on the ground and your suspension is under load.

fairladyZ34 04-11-2012 11:54 AM

The 9.5" +12's clear but the +22's won't clear the akebonos.

Okay.. i already ordered tires last week so it won't be easy to cancel or change these to another size.

Well - i must think what to do next. :shakes head:

Car is not lowered.. yet. Planning to do it sometime.

Juruki 04-11-2012 12:03 PM

it will look pretty bad without lowering and with 265's on the fronts. Even lowered and with 265's you might rub

any way you could return the wheels?

vividracing 04-11-2012 12:03 PM

You can make it fit with some camber. I can't believe they list that fitment as "perfect fit."

You'll definitely need to roll the fenders as well. And run a 255 tire.

Juruki 04-11-2012 12:42 PM

so to make those wheels fit you will need to drop the car, roll the fenders and get skinnier tires. Also, the rear wheels will be sunken while the fronts will be sticking out so you will need a rear spacer to even out the fitment.
Varrstoen sells those claiming they fit 370's? :ugh2:

GetYourWheels 04-11-2012 01:45 PM

They should work with a 255 and some camber

kenchan 04-11-2012 02:30 PM

i would return it. ET12 with 9.5 would barely even fit my G...let alone bearing failure and tramlining.

corbin09 04-11-2012 03:44 PM

Why do you say you would get bearing failure running a +12? I have been running semi aggressive offsets for 3 years now and havent had any issues. Our Zs have fenders that accommodate WAY bigger wheels then the g35 coupe.

twinturbonet 04-11-2012 04:07 PM

Wow, this really bothers me. I was looking at the same style wheel, but the 19's. I see those are 19x9.5 et22 and 19x10.5 et22.

Dumb question, but are you sure they sent you the right wheels?
