BGTV, is your car lowered or was it the smaller sidewall that lowered the car? I am looking at keeping my sizes as close to the factory ratio as possible to keep ABS and VDC in check when on the street. I like your set up but brake clearance and is something that I am in the dark with.

That looks amazing :yum: Any idea on the specs?

That's sick Fusz. I think the tires also make the rims look better.

Fusz you running +15 all around?

FuszNissan 04-24-2012 12:42 PM

Spec's
18x9.5 +38 (20mm spacer w/extended studs)
18x10.5 + 15

Awesome. I put the +38s on my car and they didnt clear the caliper. I guess that is why you are running a spacer. I now have 18x10.5 PF01's all around +15 and the way the spoke is curved, they fit no issues.

My car is not lowered, but runs slightly smaller diameter tyres (F = 245/40R18 and R = 275/35R18 Direzza Star-spec). IMHO, a 650mm diameter tyre suits the suspension angles and lowering the car means shifting suspension pick-ups and since the Z34 is my DD and not a race car, its not something I'd consider.

I track the car regularly (VDC turned off, but ABS left on) and have only had trouble with ice-mode once - I posted my feedback into the ice-mode thread aq long time ago.

On the road, VDC activates a tad early, but I don't drive the car that hard on the road (we have lost one younger family member to road traffic accident and don't want another), so VDC stays on for the road but off for the track

That looks pretty awesome, but I'm not a fan of that much gap. Maybe a little more tire and like .25-.5" lower would do the trick. Then again, that's a nice size sidewall already...

Is that your car or a customer?

It's my car.

There's not much I can do about the gap, but go with larger sidewalls. Maybe 45 front and 40 rears??

I am 1" lowered on the front and 1.25" on the rear. If I go any lower I won't be able to get back in my driveway. This thing scraps on small bumps as it is..

Wow, that came out great!

It looks good as is. I think going lower, aside from the driveway aspect, is going to come at a sacrifice. Larger sidewall is an option. I'm assuming you're on 40 series in the front, and 30 or 35 in the rear?

Either way, looks good

40 Front / 35 Rear

Same for me with my tires, but I'm on the stock 18's and dropped on swifts. I scrape too much because of my front lip being lower than stock so I'm thinking about going up to 45 front and 40 rear for my next set. Driveways, bumps, and pot holes are not fun. :shakes head:
