ZE40 AND in 18" on a 370Z. Rare setup man! Love the ZE40 but not a lot of Z guys gravitate towards them. I think they look great on your car ;D

Wow, 18s ze40 looks hot in this size and volk bronze, it looks much better than Volk 370z photos with gunmetal blue.

A lot of great info in here.
I’m stock height/suspension and wanting to run a 275 40 18 square on Konig Hypergrams for daily and some autocross. They come in 18x9.5 +25 or 18x10.5 +25. From what I’ve read on here this tire size/combo should fit with no rubbing up front. I’m leaning toward the 9.5 square width to minimize tire stretch. I will be running a spacer in the rear. Any recommendations on which wheel size to get to optimize performance on this tire size? |
It won't matter

Get the 10.5. It doesnt matter for appearance but the 10.5 will perform better.

Your car looks great in the pics above by the way. I did notice you were running 275s on a 10.5 wheel. |

the demo car for works mco wheels looks confusingly good on 18's

Nothing confusing here! That looks great!
|
to each their own, but IMO, 18's don't fit/flow with the 370Z. the 370Z is too wide/tall for 18's and just doesn't seem proportionate with the car.

Demo car also on thicker sidewalls. The tires look like ad08. maybe 265/35 or 265/40 |
Not sure, but I feel the sidewall looks a bit higher, also less camber on front (this make a lot of difference to the look).
But that concavity is sweet, my friend actually wanted ze40 first, as I have 19" set and he admired them a lot, but we didn't find them stocked. |

Just not on 18’s. |
same wheel specs as the old pics but I'm lowered to 26.5 from ground to fender as opposed to the 27 or so in first pics. Much better stance. I was aiming for a look similar to the work demo car.

Hey KapitalZ,
How do you like the setup of 255/45/R18 on the front and 275/40/R18? I have a 18x9.5 and 18x10.5 ordered for a staggered setup. It looks like that combination provides the closest diameter to stock. Do you find the tires you have are too small for the wheel? I'm currently stuck trying to decide the right size. Guess I'm a stickler for wanting close to stock size therefore there is no change in speedometer or anything else like that. I am definitely a noob when it comes to changing wheel size on a car. My last car I just used tire rack to choose my new setup. I've seen so many posts on this forum but it seems like more people were interested in looks rather than trying to remain close to stock height. I also want to avoid any lights on the dash. Ordered WEDSport SA10R. 18x9.5 +38 18x10.5 +25 Was recommended by Vivid Racing to run 265/35/R18 on front and 285/35/R18 on rear. Of course when I ran the tire size calculator, it seemed to changed the specs pretty drastically. Using tiresize.com to calculate the dimensions. Anyone have any insight? |
Why would you want to replicate the trash stock setup?
I hope vivid has good refund policy Tire rack recommendations are terrible |
The wheels were recommended by vivid. But for the wheels, i need to choose tire size. I'm trying to remain in the same diameter to maintain speedometer accuracy. I also want to avoid any abs issues.
Any suggestions for the wheels above? |
Like i said.
A refund. and you should do your own research instead of relying on Vivid or Tire Rack . . . neither of whom specializes in our particular chassis I mean just as general advise, you should learn how tire and wheel sizing works before giving anyone $2000. |
