Done. I will be lowered on KW coilovers soon. You mind giving me a couple weeks?

Gus from HPLogic told me about you guys a while back.

Diversion 05-26-2009 05:03 PM

Sonuva..

Deal of the century.

I need to be lowered, like NAO.

RCZ 05-26-2009 05:15 PM

They are in a hurry so they will only take cars that are already lowered. I'm ordering my coilovers...

as far as I know, there are no lowered 370z's around here..I'm most likely going to be one of the first...the first on kw's for sure..

bullitt5897 05-26-2009 05:24 PM

Do we get to pick the wheels? cause I live in GA and have no problem driving to miami!!!

bullitt5897 05-26-2009 05:58 PM

it was a pleasure speaking with you Jav. I will keep you updated on the progress :D I hope to get those 51's from you.

Mike

RCZ 05-27-2009 12:07 PM

Come on Vossen, I promise I'll be good to go by next weekend :)

semtex 05-27-2009 02:05 PM

I think a set of VVS078 would look awesome on a Z. The only drawback is that they only come in 20", and I want 19s.

VVS078 VVS-078 staggered Wheels Rims – 5x112, 5x120, 5x114.3, 5x4.5, 20", 22", 20x9, 20x10.5, 22x9, 22x10.5

No drawback when they are free.

Only draw back with those is they won't clear the front calipers if you have the sport package. There are only 3 sets that will clear, unless you go forged.

semtex 05-28-2009 08:27 AM

Can you elaborate on why they wouldn't clear? They're 20" rims. Even the base 18" rims will clear the sport calipers. Or is the problem that the spokes would contact the sides of the calipers?

WShade 05-28-2009 10:36 AM

Plenty of diameter but not enough backspacing.

Robert Z 05-28-2009 12:58 PM

Why would u want to lower the z???????????????

RCZ 05-28-2009 03:58 PM

If all goes well, my car is lowered tomorrow afternoon.

Vossen quick questions....

You say even trade for the wheels. As in there are no other strings attached?

Also, are you only doing 20s? You wouldn't do 19s?

Hmmm, why wouldn't you?

The main benefit is a lower CoG (Center of Gravity), which improves the handling by inducing less body roll, therefore less weight transfer on corners.

Check this out for more info.

I ordered a set in and the spokes hit the calipers. Maybe a spacer would help?? So I called my Vossen Dealer and had to settled with wheel 82. Only 82,83,84 will clear the front caliper on a sport package(spokes), unless you go forged for a different style. This is from my Vossen Dealer. But I do know first hand 78 spokes won't clear the sport package front calipers. I personlly tried, they hit. Someone may want to try spacers. I was pretty upset, because those wheels are amazing looking, and I wanted to do the black lip! Hope this helps you guys.

Don't want anybody to end up with wheels that don't fit.

Caravanshaka 06-03-2009 12:39 PM

So, who got the wheels and where are the :pics:

Awesome looking Lou!

Ever consider wider tires?

FuszNissan 06-05-2009 01:03 PM

Thought crossed my mind. I was thing 255-65 Front/ 295 Rear. Don't want any rub. So I went stock.

nogoodname 06-05-2009 01:04 PM

nice rims, the rubber looks stretched

FuszNissan 06-05-2009 01:05 PM

^^ That's what I went for. See the rim sticking out a little. I would be scared to lower it, but I am sure it would look better.

nogoodname 06-05-2009 01:13 PM

too close to tell, i would say it wont really rub....but if ur interested...quite a few G ppl trimmed the inner fender to allow no rubbing..there's also a weird tab that's there for no reason that alot of people took a hack saw to.

FuszNissan 06-05-2009 01:15 PM

Can't wait to see some of Vossen's pics with a lowered Z, should look good

nogoodname 06-05-2009 01:16 PM

so, any updates on the photoshoot........whats happening

Sweet! What's under them? Can I use my dremel tool on them? I have stock wheels/tires and rub on them with nothing more than lowering by 1.3"

Thanks in advance!
