Not sure if the stretch was necessary as it stands now.

Thinking about a .5in should do it and some spacing or a size up in tires for later. Tis my daily driver ..... :eekdance:

bullitt5897 03-05-2012 08:44 PM

lol its amazing how aggressive a setup the Z can fit. Its only the beginning.. honestly Im just glad to have them on. Ordered the wheels a year ago through a (former) vendor here who didnt even place the order. Alas the past is the past.

GetYourWheels 03-05-2012 11:17 PM

Looks like you could easily get a 275 on the back. 255 in the front would be no problem!

fairladyZ34 03-06-2012 12:54 AM

More meat!! Still dope wheels

Kingbaby 03-06-2012 01:00 AM

silly stance

MUST 03-06-2012 01:10 AM

i knew those s1's looked familiar when lawrence txt'd me a pic today. looks good, maybe more drop?

FreshFish 03-06-2012 02:08 AM

I knew I would get tire comments.... you guys are just too predictable LOL. A normal setup would be a 255/35 and 295/30 which is pretty standard in this size wheel. I wanted to be different and I like how its sitting.

Bavarian Exclusive FTW! Thanks Must... a drop is coming and maybe some spacing.

issey.miyake 03-06-2012 03:19 AM

when you drop it more people will understand why you went stretched tyres

good work!

meisters is one of my all time favourite rims!

W.O.W. 370Z 03-06-2012 09:45 AM

I think we need different pictures.

Stance looks awkward.

ccdominic 03-06-2012 10:06 AM

love the wheels. not sure how i feel about em on black tho.

Ni55anPat 03-06-2012 10:12 AM

It still looks sick! In the end its your car do what you like best :happydance:

red6spd 03-06-2012 10:31 AM

Everyone has there own taste and I'm not gonna knock ya but those looks are for the acid taking VW guys LOL! Would like to see what it looks like with a proper tire.

Alchemy 03-06-2012 10:41 AM

Ridiculous tire sizes. There should be at least a 285 on the rear. AT LEAST!!!

slo 03-06-2012 10:57 AM

One of my favorite:bowrofl: all time wheels!!!

It's your car, I just don't agree with the 255 on a 11" wide wheel. But it doesn't make it wrong just because it's not my preference. Just an opinion.

Flushnismo 03-06-2012 11:09 AM

Very nice.. It looks like you don't even really need stretched tires though..
I'm pretty much running the same setup out back, but I'm on a 275 with room to spare still. I say get spacers and lower it another inch or just get new tires or trade me wheels

zguynate 03-06-2012 11:12 AM

IMO if your going to go that stretched the car needs to be lower. Im not a huge fan of crazily stretched tires but if done right it can look pretty awesome. Your car looks good but something is a bit off. It might just be the pictures.

Red__Zed 03-06-2012 01:41 PM

That is a lot of stretch. Hope you don't hit any potholes.

fuct 03-06-2012 03:35 PM

255..... sheeeeeeet you can go 305 EASY!!!! and still have room to tuck and ride low.

Jamaica 03-06-2012 04:46 PM

Wheels look good. Need more tire. Or maybe going with the stretched look is in .!?!

Dark Sarcasm 03-06-2012 05:26 PM

i was like "AWESOME WHEELS"

now I'm like "ooohhhh nooooooooo"

Its your car do what makes you happy.

O&G 03-06-2012 05:35 PM

needs more drop(1.5') if your going that route! Rims look awesome!

second_2_nun 03-07-2012 07:45 AM

LOve the stretched look! A lot of you guys like big *** tires and not into the Fitment scene. www.stancenation.com. Just needs a bigger drop! Hater gonna hate

given we have a car made to perform...... its only logical and SAFE to have a proper fitting tire.

that being said, if all you want to do is cruise the high school/college parking lot and look cool then more power to ya.

would i feel safe doing a lane change at 100mph (on a closed coarse of course) with a tire stretched like that.... hell no!

(funny, the link you posted shows a Supra with a wild tire/wheel setup that is actually practical. the OP here is pushing the limits.....)

FreshFish 03-07-2012 11:39 AM

Thanks for the comments guys

Its an ongoing project and I have some work to do :D

fuct 03-07-2012 01:31 PM

well youve made a great decision on picking those wheels. good luck with it all.

FreshFish 05-07-2012 11:22 PM

Really wanted to make the Fontana meet but my car was still getting worked on. Did manage a small shoot. Heres a sample shot a friend emailed me.

I agree 100%.

It doesn't look like they are aggressive enough for the stretch.
:wtf2:

It was 100% necessary. I'm in the negatives. I love how much hate this setup is getting. I get props daily on my ride and it just wheels and tires no bawdy body kits or lips just a sick drop and wheels. People gotta understand things like work in progress. Those last pics were shot within hours of the setup going on and I was pretty excited since I waited a year to put them on. Even a vendor f*cked me on the forums. Ahem VIP status. Theyre sitting pretty badass I'm just waiting for my friend to get me the rest of the shoot.

Well we have one thing in common. We both got f*cked. lol You should grab some 320 grit sand paper and run it under your lip. That'll help alot.
