Good to know. Why are you so against wheel cleaner?

RavSpec 06-05-2012 08:16 AM

What time of soap? Zipwax car wash soap is what i use on my rays and the more pricey soap on the car. Is that good or dish soap hand soap?? Just throwing a few things out there so i can narrow it down some. Thanks again... :tiphat:

Wheel cleaners have some pretty strong acids in them like at the car wash, even the touchless ones stay away from. They are really meant for super dirty wheels like on big trucks 18 wheelers and whatnot.

Liquid_G 06-05-2012 11:00 AM

Yep.. Also I wouldn't use dish soap either.. Most have degreasers in them that will pull the wax right off your car. Probably not as big a deal for wheels unless you've waxed them too..

I just use regular old car wash soap and wash each one by hand with a microfiber cloth after I'm done cleaning the car. It's kind of a pain but that's part of the joy of owning aftermarket wheels.

RavSpec 06-05-2012 11:34 AM

all WORK Wheels comes with clear coat on the lip and also on the painted face.

It's to prevent oxidation and keep them high polish / shinny.

Using wheels cleaner might damage the clear coat.

So the cheaper car wash soap like zipwax should be fine for the wheels?

RavSpec 06-05-2012 11:43 AM

yes, or anything that you wash the body of the car since those soap are usually clear coat safe.

Thanks again..much rep my good man....:tiphat:

fuct 06-05-2012 03:38 PM

never, never, never use dish washing soap on your car. yes its good at getting the wax off if you plan to clay then reapply a protective coating but it will also eat up plastic parts.

i know from experience. :(

Puma0183 06-07-2012 11:22 PM

That Z is hot. Congrats bro. No car can wear those kind of rims like a Z.

future370zzz 06-09-2012 11:17 PM

Nice wheels. What is the color code for the lip and mesh? Nevermind, just found it.

I really wish I would have gotten the step lip likes yours.

Brutal 370Z 06-24-2013 01:09 PM

Man these rims are sweet! If I decide to put aftermarket rims on my car at some point, I'm going with a set of Works for sure. I also really like the GS2's.

Wiggins3377 06-24-2013 01:10 PM

haha, im kinda wishing i went with 19" in reverse lip.

Bronze and Black, what?!

Carbon_z 06-24-2013 01:54 PM

anodized bronze and black.. Carbon Fiber reflects a bronze type color in sunlight, which is why I have the wheels :)

KaienZ34 06-24-2013 01:56 PM

So what colors are we looking at? Mine has a matte gun metal face and bronze lip.

Carbon_z 06-24-2013 01:57 PM

Mine is anodized bronze with Midnight black. It had a base coat of PURPLE and then Black on top...

Setup looks great. Looks to be some room between the rear tire & fender to maybe get better camber out of the rear rather then running -5, but other then that the setup looks legit! Loving the color combo!

Me??

I'm only on swift springs, but i'm running stock camber out back with my SPL camber arms. I'm thinking coils soon, but not to slam it just another inch in the rear and about a quarter inch up front.

can I get some better angles from the front/rear of your fitment?

I'm looking at getting another set of Works for spring. Looking at going 20x10+15 and 20x11" with a +4 offset. (255/30 and 295/25)
