I think they are great! I had a set of the rays 19's done in the chrome exchange for my G35 and they were awesome. Im sure they added pounds, but so does eating fast food. lol

I will say that after having black wheels for nearly 4 years now I will always have them, I can't go back now ;) |

Doesn't nissan have a factory chrome option for the 370z? I swear I've seen it before.
How is chrome bad for oem wheels? isn't it just a staged dipping process? I thought powder coating was bad for forged wheels because the heat process can effect the integrity of the wheel after time. |
they look so similar to the wheels that were on my lexus is

There are chemical ways to do fake chrome, here's one of them. I've also seen a simple home kit.

IMO chrome wheels only look nice on American sports cars (ie. vipers, vets, and stangs). I think tuner cars look better with the forged aluminum colour that the OEM wheels come with or a little darker (like the 40th's wheels). I would leave the wheels just the way they came...that's what I'm doing at least.

The ones you see on eBay are PVD chrome, which is essentially a powder coat with clear coat over the top. The big player is US Wheel exchange. They also do black chrome. Very pricy and fragile. I have a set on my 350 but went with hyper black on my 370 done by Alloy Wheel Repair in Atlanta for half the price.
