Help me pick wheels!

What would look best on a PW Amuse.

1. CE28 Time Attacks
http://randdmotorsports.com/photos/ce28n.jpg

2. Weds Sport SA-55
http://www.wedsna.com/products/imgs/...el_sa55m02.jpg

3. Advan RZ-DF

4.Others (cheaper alternatives)

I think wheels are very important to the overall look of the car and it is something that I think you shouldn't cheap out on. However, I'm not made of money and funds are an issue. :tiphat:

Chris_1 06-30-2011 12:13 PM

Whats the budjet in question and size, b/c to be honest that little animal up top their is a ce28, and that is over 3k easy.

Amuse370z 06-30-2011 12:31 PM

19", My budget is $3000, I can get used CE28s for less.

This will be the first mod so depending on how much I have left over, my other mods will have to compensate.

370Ztune 06-30-2011 12:45 PM

CEs are awesome wheels, but so are the SA55Ms. SA55Ms are quite a bit more rare on Zs, so that might be a good choice if you want the unique factor. I would also say to have a look at SA60Ms, they're personally my favorite Weds wheels, and still pretty rare on Zs. Pricing for both the SA55Ms and SA60Ms will be below your $3K budget.

phelan 06-30-2011 01:08 PM

Someone has the SA55, looks kind of weird on the Z honestly. Out of all of those, I'd go RZ-DF.

nogoodname 06-30-2011 01:17 PM

ADVAN hands down...dddooooeeiiiiittttt

TypeOne 06-30-2011 01:48 PM

Mine ain't weird looking! I have only seen these wheels on 3 other 370s.

http://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f3...Z/84495822.jpg

Although I would trade for a set of Orange CE28s in a heartbeat. ugh.

Good luck!

TypeOne 06-30-2011 01:49 PM

I forgot to mention, what type of sizing are you looking for?

How low is it going to be?

That looks amazing, I'm going to be using swifts.

What are the specs on yours? That looks real aggressive and the color looks better than I thought.

Front: 19x9.5 +15
Rear: 19x10.5 +15 (am putting a 15mm spacer on today)

The front rubs a little because it is so low, I rolled the front and it's fine. The roads around here suck. I think the +22s with Swift springs is a very reliable and solid setup.

dang, that's the setup i'd run on my G. (less the 15 spacer). :D

yes, we look werd. werd as in awesome, right?

KamiSpeed 06-30-2011 05:09 PM

you want 19's?

If not I'd say go with TC105N 18x10.5 +15 all around or LMGT4 black 18x10.5 +15.

If yes then I'd say go completely different and try SSR Type-F or Professors SP3
http://www.ssr-wheels.com/images/typef/black_lrg.jpg http://www.ssr-wheels.com/images/sp3/sbc_lrg.jpg

shadoquad 06-30-2011 05:14 PM

I don't know if you're looking at black as the only color, but if I were you, I'd avoid it. Just my opinion, but if I'm paying for aftermarket wheels, I want people to see their lines from a distance.

TypeOne 07-01-2011 12:40 PM

If 18s looked good on 370s, I'd have TN105Ns in a heartbeat.

19s = winning

I'm just not a fan of the Adavans... I LOVE the older ones, RGs and RGIIs but these just don't do it for me.

Amuse370z 07-01-2011 01:46 PM

Kami - 19 is the way to go for me, I was thinking of 20s at one point but the price for tires would go up as well, etc.

Type Fs look to boring and dull and the Professors SP3swould probably be out of my budget range.

Shadoquad - I'm actually not a fan of black wheels, the ones I picked have a hint of other colours in it though. If they were all black I wouldn't have considered them. I have a good deal for the Ce28s and the weds are the cheapest out of the bunch. Advans are actually my favourite look out of the 3 but it is also the most expensive, i would only consider them if the majority agrees that it is worth spending a few extra hundred.

I'm expecting to pay no more than $1000 for tires, my budget is $4000 total.

Amuse370z 07-09-2011 03:29 PM

How do you guys feel about Forgestars?

if money is not an issues .. RZDF, they impressed me the most.

Seen all of them in person and the feel of the RZDF beat out the rest.

ZeeingAround 07-09-2011 08:06 PM

TypeOne 07-09-2011 09:41 PM

Word!!!

I'm about to have mine redone soon... probably next month they will be a new color. I can't get over the damn scratch and the touch up paint looks like assssssss.

Amuse370z 07-10-2011 12:09 AM

I say the SA55s would look better on a black car. I've decided to go silver rims on a white car. The prices of the Forgestars will allow me to go 20" instead. It seems as if most people don't like them?

TypeOne 07-10-2011 10:27 AM

I'm not really a fan of 20s... I don't like the rubber band looking tires, not to mention they are hard to find in proper widths and offsets.

Good luck to you though!

Zerafian 07-10-2011 04:58 PM

I would say the CE28s but gl finding that version of them...Iv been around the 350 forums since 2007 and only seen 2 sets and only 1 of those had every been for sale.

RavSpec 07-10-2011 05:19 PM

yeah, the CE28N TME edition is discontinued. It was once very very popular but I think it sort of got play out.

Right now you can still do quite a bit of custom color (see here)
CE28N custom color options: http://rays-msc.com/wheels/img/ColorChartRef.jpg

and also, formula silver with polish lip OR the Japanese Time Attach version: white with red trim.

TypeOne 07-10-2011 06:58 PM

Those are beautiful!!!

I would trade my Weds for those in a heartbeat.

sigh....

RavSpec 07-10-2011 08:17 PM

yeah, double the price .. ;)

Prosport Gauges 07-11-2011 10:01 AM

Vossen FTW!

Indeed they are...

RAYS > Vossen any day of the week

RavSpec 07-13-2011 11:52 AM

To be honest, if budget is limited, Vossen is a good alternative to WORK/RAYS/WEDS.

Much cheaper and looks good.

But not sure if Vossen wheels are put through any strength test. Anyone know ?

gtkiller 07-13-2011 05:57 PM

I'd go with the CE28's they look so good on our cars.

BTW TypeOne, what lip is that on your car it looks awesome.

Elvis@Vossen 07-14-2011 01:58 PM

We stand behind our product for more than anyone else.

Vossen Wheels

http://vossenwheels.com/images/img10.jpg

With that said, any of the wheels you go with that you have listed are great!

Econ 07-14-2011 02:06 PM

typeone, i like those wheels.
