Forged Specialties: SC 5S 20x10 & 20x12!
So heres the specs:
Forged Specialties SC 5S 20x10 + 27 w/ 275/30/20 20x12 + 20 w/ 325/25/20 Gloss black with a pearl white engraved pinstripe. (yup the lip is machined and then the pin stripe is in the engraving) Black Volk Formula Racing lug nuts with silver portion powdercoated white by Mike White powdercoated OEM Sport calipers by Mike So first off gotta thank a couple of people for this!! Chris (Chris@wheelsdirectonline) I placed my order a while ago for these wheels. Poor guy i have over 150 e-mails sent to him asking questions about fitment/sizing. He always responded. Just when you think hes gonna get tired of responding, he gives me his cell phone to say "if you feel like you want to talk it over, call me directly" and the only time he ever told me on the phone that he had to go was when he was out vacationing with his fiance. But im serious, maybe 250 texts, over 150 e-mails, countless phone calls, he always answered what i asked. Now why it took so long? After 2 weeks of the order, i went from 19 front, 20 rear to 20"s all around. Then 9 weeks into the order I changed my offsets which he got done for me. So that was on me. And Chris actually kept me up to date with everything without me having to ask him. I would get an update about every 3 weeks. Seriously, Huge thanks for the patience and everything man. Mike (Mike) I made a post about what color calipers to go with. I chose white, Mike made it happen, he did a damn good job. Helped me choose Nissan as the logo cus everyone is doing Akebono. Also did an amazing job with my lug nuts. I needed them quickly and he got them done. Also, helped answer questions along the way about fitments a bit and then walked me through some color options for when i was still undecided. (overall helpful guy any time you need him!) And always a nice touch from someone who sells you something, he called me to ask how i liked them and if i was happy with them right after he knew I got them. Z1 Motorsports I know, how is a motorsports shop involved with my wheels? But, One day when i was over there, i asked if we could experiment. We pulled off my pasenger front wheel and tried on some wheels they had around the shop. with different width's and offsets. it gave me a really good visual idea of how certain setups would look where as before I just had a measuring tape. This is why i decided to adjust my offsets 9 weeks into the order. But these guys took the time to find me the wheels, throw it on my car and let me see how it looked. Also Z1 is responsible for my suspension setup which is quite nice. They adjust my ride height to where I need it, vs where they feel it should be (its nice when people listen to what you want.) And I need my ride height a certain level due to my driveway. Lastly, due to my travel for work, they let me ship my things to them. Its nice peace of mind when everything is taken care of for me when im out of town, vs wondering if the package was laying outside on the driveway and if anyone saw it there. And, the time/care they took to help me put on the wheels/calipers. Handled the calipers like a baby to make sure they didnt scratch the white. Made sure no fluid leaked onto it. So yeah, long oscar speech over. here are "some" pics of the setup so far. More will come! http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3607/...c5ee36c0_b.jpg http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3378/...f9c66118_b.jpg http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2222/...c94eff0d_b.jpg http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2625/...bd3b3ca5_b.jpg http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2575/...7fab507d_b.jpg http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2765/...64659f7b_b.jpg http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5106/...6e67e80f_b.jpg P.S there is absolutely no rubbing so far after 125 miles. The Continental DW tires are quiet and comfortable so far. My camber is not where it needs to be atm about -.5 front and -.9 rear. And even so it doesnt rub. So shortly, I will lower the front about an inch (went up with these) and then adjust camber and it should be just perfect. |
Very nice:tup:
Do the 325's stick out passed the quarter panel or are they flush. |
Nice!

Here is a quick photoshop of what I think Daisuke will end up doing. This looks nuts dropped on this style of wheel::::

Chris really goes the extra mile. Like the door handle accent as well. |
Looking good. I wonder how much they'll throw the speedo off? Mine is off by 3 with my setup.

Holy concave, Batman! Damn Dai nice job with the wheel selection! ;) No wonder you wanted to keep them on the DL from us..
|
I cant help not coming in here and staring at Dai's car. I mean I would want it lowered a bit, but just everything works. I also give my hat off to Forged Specialties, b/c not trying to be mean but every manufacturer except for Venaci have the same designs, its horrible. They keep coming with new fresh stuff, and this wheel on Dai's is something sexy. I didnt want to ship it to him when I had it in my hands for a couple of days haha.

Fantastic setup Daisuke, wheels are so nice!
|
looks good!
The only thing i dont like so much is the white pinstripe. would have looked cleaner without it IMO Keep on modding :P |
Looks awesome, Dai! I can't wait to see it with the headlights done!

But thanks guys! Also, the Continental tires = amazing. I posted in another thread. They are easily alot quiter than the stock bridgestones. In fact I think they are slightly quieter than the Advan Sports which were on 18"s. The only time this 20" setup is louder than the advan 18"s is when i hit a decent crack in the road. Its not uncomfortable or rought at all, just smooth n quiet. |
Looking good Dai!!
|
How does your Z drive with this meaty tires. I want that rim size and tire set-up too. Looks so good.
|
I bet that far feels extremely planted and considering the wheels when I carried them didnt weigh much for a concave wheel in 20", I think he has a winner there.

Im really considering getting those lugs. The more I look at them, the more I want.
|
while I love the loko and design of the lugs themselves. the key itself seems to be made of a softer materials. People are saying that their key smooths out and needs replacing. Also the plastic hex key to remove the center screw rounds out very easily too. Using a metal one carefully will not scratch the paint.

Did you get it aligned yet? Do you have pics after alignment?
