Default Quick question regarding TPMS

To make a long story short, I ended up buying new wheels/TPMS + tires (I didn't buy them together). I am wondering if I could just take the tires/wheels/tpms and have them mounted + TPMS programmed and bolt them on at home (I'd prefer to put them on myself) or if they NEED the car to be there? Scheduling conflicts would make having the car there difficult. I've tried searching the forums but haven't found a direct answer. I've also tried just asking the the people who would be putting them on & Getyourwheels but I'm getting conflicting answers from all parties.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

i think they would need the tpms and the car in the shop to program them
few days ago i took my car in for an alignment and for 25$ a tire he programmed them with new tpms on new tires/wheels without having to dismount them

Probably what I'll end up having to do, just to be safe. The only reason I even questioned it was because I'd heard stories of people who ordered tire + wheel comboes from places like GetYourWheels who have them mounted/programmed and they just bolt them on when they arrive. My only issue is I didn't buy them together. Wasn't sure if the tire place could do something similar.
