Any tire shop?

Say I order online or go to a place locally like Mavis... What are the chances a random tire shop will screw up my rims (scratch, bend, etc)? Are there any that are known nationally for screwing up or any that have good reputations? Or do I just have to ask people locally to find out who is good?

Thanks for any help in advance. (Oh, I have 19in sport package rims)

It depends on the equipment used, and more importantly: the equipment operator. Even good shops occasionally screw things up.

The major web tire sellers will also recommend shops in your area that should be able to install your tires without incident.

i recommend you check with local speed shops and body shops that deal with sports cars than just any tire store to get your tires mounted.

What ever you do, don't go to Firestone. Learned that the hard way. They scratched & dented my rims and claimed that was normal. A bunch of BS artist. Look for a place that has a leverless or touchless mounting machine. If they don't know what that is, walk away. Try giving the guys at Performance Motorsports a call or shoot them an e-mail. I'm not 100% sure they work on tires, but they probably know of a good place.
