Default Re barreling volks?

I have 18" volk GT-Fs that i would like to take from my rx8 to the 370z i am about to buy. i saw in the volk thread that someone rebarreled their GT-Fs as well. can i get any info on how much this would cost and if it is actually possible? thanks!

my volks- (ignore the front bumper and missing sideskirts, i had just been in an accident and new bodykit from japan hadnt arrived yet.)

I'm sure it's possible but you are probably better off just selling those and buying a set to fit the Z. Good luck either way.

Iv spoken with mackin reps in the past and they recommended against it. I was looking to replace my black barrels with some polished ones a while back.

Every company is out for money so I figure when they dont jump on the chance to make a profit its the real deal. I took their suggestion.

What are you trying to do, get a bigger lip or just get them looking new again? Theres a lot of DIY's on getting them to look brand new through a step by step from removing to reinstalling the barrels.

are the barrels seam welded once they're put together? Or are they a two piece wheel?

as for all you guys who are serious about re-barreling your volk gt-series rims, shoot me a pm or email me at mustbuyorsell@yahoo.com and include the following info:

1. rim specs you have currently (rim/offsets/widths)

2. rim specs you want to run (offsets/widths)

3. name and phone#

my friends' shop may be able to help.

I had my set of GTS volks re done... came out awesome... they re polished and re did the center gunmetal from the original mercury silver finish..

cost me 150 a wheel... place in NY ... you could ship to them and they could do yours , but I am sure there is a place local to you... just research forums for wheel refinishing and find a shop that has good feedback... as long as your wheel is a true two piece it shouldnt be a problem...

It' not worth it unless you have a hookup.
