I just replaced the Bridgestones with the Super Sports and have a question: Based on the reviews on this site and tirerack, I was expecting a smoother and quieter ride than the worn out Bridgestones with 30,000 miles. Unfortunately, it feels like the ride became stiffer/bouncier and a little bit noisier. I checked the tire pressures and they are 36 psi. Is there a break-in period for these tires?
Thanks in advance for your input.

Another question: Can you look at the attached alignment results to see if they are within specs? I am still trying to figure out why the car became little stiffer/bouncier.

Alignment looks good; on the +side for toe (i like mine that way)
Michelin tires are a lot lighter than the Bridgestone's-for max power to the road....i never owned a set yet;but i'm sure other member's will chime in.
Also, all tires take a break-in period.....Hopefully they were balanced well.
It may be helpful if you include the tire sizes.

6000 mile update and impressions.

Update: Moderate driving. Less than 10% wear. Much better than expected.

Impressions: More tuned to touring than sport. OE Bridgestone's more sport than touring. Both are excellent tires on my Z.

Anyone find the stock 35 PSI pressure a tad too soft for PSS.?

Higher pressure for higher speeds,,,gotta play with it.

I remember someone here said newer Z,Factory even lowered the Tires Pressure to 32 PSI...

I don't run the PSS's (yet) but the tire is lighter than the oem; thus yielding more power to the wheels;not sure the sizes that you're running....We have frost here in the Southeast & usually a 30* temp. swing....i'd experiment & find what works.
if you're just cruising & not setting records...30/32 should be fine & a bit better ride.
I run 2.5bar(36psi) in my Nitto's@50* so it fluctuates up & down with the temp.

I will try 36PSI[cold]Tomorrow.

Are you guys running the ZP tires?

Just bought my second set! Got roughly 20 months out of the last set..

Went slightly wider: 255/40 front - 285/35 rear. It looks exactly like what stock should have been for us simple folk...

super crappy iphone 6 photos (I want to run this pos phone over every time I use it..it just gets slower and slower with each and every OS update fu apple!):

Next up is Z1 2 piece rotor install (front/rear SPRINKLE slotted!!!) to make up for the weight penalty of the tires...

I recently installed these on my G37 IPL and have to say they are far, far more compliant than the OEM Bridgestones. I run 33psi front and rear with a square setup, 255's all around. Straight line traction, even with -1.6 degrees camber in back is substantially better. I feel as though I could dial up my dampers a few clicks. I was to the point where I was ready to spend $2K plus on a new limited slip differential.

The noise level is also greatly diminished and seems to be in a different frequency range. I ended up saving four pounds for each front wheel and six for each rear. Even with wider rubber.

I have to recalibrate my brain as the ride says these tires are soft but turn-in is just as good, they stick a bit better in the corners and are even more predictable when they break traction. klj
