Bold and Daring move

I was contemplating doing this for quite some time because I was afraid that it may be too radical for the majority of people. But, I finally decided to go for it. Check out the pictures for the results. Either hate it or like it. Lets not go into the whole issue of name brand vs non name brand; expensive vs cheap; lighter vs heavier; etc. There must be people daring to try new and exciting things. Thanks for viewing.

Looks good, but all gold would look better than the L/R switch-up...

fullmonty 12-31-2010 08:45 PM

I think the black looks pretty nice, but the 2 different colors just arn't my style. Props to you for having the balls to do it though

i don't understand the 2 rim style thing, but it doesn't look bad. and good choice on going against the grain!

While getting my tires mounted, we found this extra bolt in between the studs. What is this?

It's because I've always liked the gold/blue theme look, but I also like the blacked out look, so I just thought, why not just get both? So I did.

It's to keep from mounting the back rims on the front. Take it off.

odie99 12-31-2010 11:32 PM

I haven't pulled the wheels off of the Z to check, but usually that's there to keep you from mounting a front wheel on the back or vice versa. They put them on the new Bentley Continental Supersports because the back wheels are different from the front, but not by much.

EDIT-- beat me to it.

Ya found thy bolt while trying to mount te37SL's on my friend's car. It's a bolt put there so you could not mount the rear wheels in the front, good job Nissan lol

I don't get the whole 2 different rim thing, it really rices up the car imo. The OP should have gone with the darker rims since the fangs are painted.

I feel it would make more since to do the different colors front/back instead of right/left.

Now that will be rice. Since you can only see one side of the car at a time ....and he likes both color. I think he made a great decision.
