Default TPMS sensors on multiple wheel sets?

I'm getting a second set of wheels. If I get a second set of new sensors along with the wheels and have the new one's sync'd with the car, will my original set still work when I put them back on for track days? If it's only one set of sensors at a time, I'll just swap the old ones.

Unfortunately every time you change them out you will have to go back to the dealer to "re-sync" the other set of sensors

I am getting another set of rims too but I am planning to deal with the TPMS light for now. At least until I find a better option than $50-75 bucks a year to switch out rims.

Good luck

I have this ATEQ tool. You just have to be careful about mixing the left and right wheels up.

TPMS Reset Tool - 370z: Does it work?

They quit selling those because they were having too many problems with them. I guess they work for you though?

Just get four sensors calibrated and stick them in this contraption (PVC tube) and your GTG! HAHA

Or, you can have them put in your spare tire like this

Of course this is only if you can't stand the TPMS light! HAHA!

Those are both great ideas!

Thanks. I didn't realize they quit selling the Ateq. I had issues with mine at first but I think I have it solved now.

they quit selling it? hmm i think its kind of stupid how it can't initialize the sensors. i mean, it does what it says, but its really limiting. they market it as this be all, end all solution, and its really not.

That is why Tire rack sent all their stock back to the manufacture and quit offering it. They have yet to find a similar solution for the problem.

The PVC pipe sounds like a good way to get seriously harassed by a suspicious cop! (especially those in big cities or working on military bases etc.)

The spare tire method sounds like a much safer alternative !
