ive also posted some more pix in my journal if you guys wanted to check them out

Chris_1 12-07-2010 08:39 PM

Hmm, i dont know maybe its the small lip on the te's that give it the sunken look to me. They dont look bad, but wow did those gold wheels pop haha.

370Z JT 12-07-2010 08:42 PM

Dope! Hot car man.

Rudy's TE37 SL rears have lower offset than the gold SSR'S type f. Not by much but it is. Also, he lowered his coilovers about 15mm lower with the TE37 pics than the one with his gold SSR's

Until he corrects the cambers, which is prob at -3 deg now, it won't look aggressive enough

i was on the same ride height Lou. i lowered it right before those pix were taken with the gold wheels, but there is a 3mm difference between the ssr's and the te in the rear. the front are the same size and offset

i think it just looks lower because of the sunline kit

i hate lou!

zero 12-07-2010 09:02 PM

Lou is right. With the camber kit, wider tires and alignment, it will look even more aggressive.

Jamaica 12-07-2010 09:02 PM

Will need a camber kit thou to help the camber and life of tire.

you can always sell your black ones and buy the SL's, they are cheaper

Chris_1 12-08-2010 02:10 PM

The more I look the more I like, the good thing is when you get the alignment and what not, not only will it look more aggressive, youll get more life out of the tires.

I finally replaced my shocks last weekend, so I can finally install my camber arms and get it aligned. I like the camber look if it's flush...but mine's not flush with camber :(

bullitt5897 12-09-2010 10:42 AM

ok ok ok this is finally getting to me... I have -2.7 camber and it is sooooo much more aggressive than this setup...

This is my old setup at -2.3:

http://i234.photobucket.com/albums/e...7/DSC_4440.jpg
http://i234.photobucket.com/albums/e...7/DSC_4441.jpg

This looks much more likely what he is running...

-3 looks like:
http://image.eurotuner.com/f/2572657...azy_camber.jpg
http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t...os/polo1-2.jpg

ilive2win is not running -3 camber...

srry its just been bugging me for days now... The setup looks great BTW! Just run your camber out to -1.8 in the rear and maybe add a spacer if you want...

Chris_1 12-09-2010 12:11 PM

Please dont run a spacer on such nice wheels, Just fix your camber and you are solid.

I'm def not running -3 camber haha but it is still a lot of camber that needs to get fixed. I'm not going to run a spacer. I'm just getting a camber kit for the rear.

I know it's horrible I don't know my camber settings lol. I just forgot to ask them cuz I was in a rush to get out of there, but when I go back I'll make sure to find out

Good advice. Get corner balancing and alignment, and you are set.

phunk 12-11-2010 02:18 PM

got any closeups, around the hub area?

my fronts are shipping to me from cali on monday. still waiting for the 11" rears to show up in the states tho.

i want to get a good look at the hub area. i want to use our CNCs to machine myself a set of 1-piece centercap, hub centric ring, and 5-10mm wheel spacer... all in one. since ill need all those items anyway, it would be quite simple to integrate them all as one lightweight aluminum piece.
