I ran Toyo 1R1's on the Volk rims, I have, before I switched the tires on the stock rims I have presently. I have 285/35/19 26.9" and 255/35/19 26.0" and the VDC nor do the anti-lock brakes freak out at all. I'm pleasantly surprised and compared to the 350Z, it's a miracle :icon17: I would like to see a set of 285/35/19 tires matched to a set of 305/30/19 on a 370Z and see how they look. The tire diameters look good and I would only be worried about fender clearance and how well it would fit the stock rims. |
you know what... im gonna just try the 285/35/19s... and if they look bad with the 305/30/19s or are too wide to fit my car with the 19x9.5 front wheels at +22, i will just keep them on the back of my stock sport wheels.

this is a terrible pain in the *** when they dont make tires in the sizes you need. |

Yes and the fact that the RE-11 don't come in the 275/35/19 sizing ... is a pain in da a**. That's why the 285/35/19 size has my interest and should fit on my 9.5" Volk rim. But I think I'll wait until my present tires wear out and I need new ones. Maybe by then they may have some nice drag radials and track wheels available in 19" sizes. |
I plan to run 285/35/19 F&R with the RE11 on stock wheels, my 265/285 setup plows way too much
|
i ordered the 275/30/19 front. the 285/35/19 tempted me... but its so much taller than the 305/30/19 i was too afraid that it would look goofy
|
BTW everyone, thanks for the info... my purchase was eventually completely based on comments to this thread and sharifs review of the RE11 where he was able to mention some comparisons to the R888, which is my main tire of choice when cost and wear is of no concern. I loved my R888s on my 350z... went from spinning thru 4th to hooking well in 2nd.

hey thanks for making the thread phunk, helped pu tmy mind at ease as i am doing 275/35/19 and 305/30/19 this week as well on Nismo rims with a drop. THANKS EVERYONE!

**update** with the mods mentioned above 275/35/19 on H&R springs do rub SLIGHTLY on the plastic liner. just thought i should let you guys know. If i had a chance to pick out a size i would consider 265/35/19.
|
What is your front camber? Could you eliminate the rub with spacers?
|
i believe the camber is around 1.3-1.8 degrees not sure. But specs on front are 19.9.5+25 (originally +40, but i have a 15mm spacer). If i take out the spacer or put a 10mm spacer that would probably do it.
http://i884.photobucket.com/albums/a...3/fc3aba95.jpg but i like flushness, and will probably just leave it. gonna drop the rear more when the coils get on. |
Oh I see...minor rub like that should be fine. Probably happening only on full wheel lock, right?
|
Roll your front fenders. Trim the front fender liner. Relocate the bumper tab to the spot above it.
Problem solved. |
Hey guys, ok so i have 275/35/20 tires in the front and 315/35/20 in the rear. No spacers. I put them on for a few months before winter and now i have them off til the spring. But while they were on i noticed a slight rub in the front tires whenever i hit a bump. Not sure how to fix it. Spacers would look weird cuz they're already out a tad farther than the rear. And i can't bump out the rear cuz it rubs on the outside if i do.... Suggestions please?? :)
