FYI...I just scooped up a full set of these off of tirerack for $1100 shipped! 245/40 and 285/35R19. These are the newer 200 tread wear version. Can't wait to get them mounted after I milk a few thousand more miles out of the stock RE050As.

Hi N8GTOL,

Have you installed the RE11's yet? If so how do they compare to the stock tires? I assume the 285's fit on the rear sports package 370z rims ok? How much quieter are the RE11's compared to the stock? Feedback would be great as I'm looking to do exactly the same thing!

More dry grip....less noise?

I'm basically looking for tires that fit on 2013 sport package rims that five more dry grip and less noise than stock tires. Are the RE11's the right choice, it sounds like it?

Yokohama and Hankook

Hankooks are much quieter than my stock Yokohamas

Just ordered me a set of RE11's for the Nismo for just a little over 1100 straight through my local Nissan dealer. After reading this thread, I feel pretty good about my decision, lol.

I have about 1000 miles to put on them next week, so this should be fun.

You should be happy with them. There are some other tires that I like as well, like the Toyo R1R, but unfortunately the largest size they make is the 265/35/18. But can't go wrong with the Bridgetone RE11 or the Michelin PSS.

Just a heads up everyone, Hankook R-S3's are on closeout on tirerack.com(new release just came out of "version 2", so version 1 are up for grabs). I actually went on with the intentions of purchasing Supersports(for my Nismo wheels for road course/auto-X), but when I saw the front tires slashed from $356/ea to $149/ea, and rears from $325/ea to $233...saved over $500- on 4 tires!! I couldn't pass it up!

RE11, PSS, R1R and R-S3's are the top 4 tires I've recommended to anyone considering tracking/auto-Xing, or just spirited twisty runs. Very sticky tires indeed!

I ran my RE-11s for the first time this weekend at Sebring and I love them. While we were in line waiting to get in two guys walked by and one commented on my car that it was on RE-11s and how well the stance was so I asked if they use them, turns out one of them worked for Bridgestone. He walked the pits and recorded every size tire was being used and spent time talking tires with everyone. He stopped to to see me three times a day and recommended adjustments. It was very nice to see a tire company showing interest in supporting HPDE and I learned a lot.

Just ordered RE11s for the nismo and can't wait to get them on! I wanted PSS but they are backordered on tirerack - best customer service ever - until Dec, that's what I get for taking two months to pick a tire (dumb, I know). So excited for my RE11s and a tune from Moore Auto on Friday! Big week for the Z :)

God I love these tires. These should come stock. PETITION TO NISSAN GOGOGO.

I felt like I was on rails the first week I had them put on.

Re-11 a ?

Are all the new RE-11s the A type (RE-11A) now? What's the difference?

Update: Found it. So I guess the A's are better...

Description: "The Potenza RE-11A is an Extreme Performance Summer tire that evolved from Bridgestone’s Potenza RE-11 line. Developed for serious sports car, sports coupe and performance sedan driving enthusiasts, the Potenza RE-11A is designed to further enhance traction, handling and control while maintaining good noise and ride comfort. Bridgestone’s Potenza RE-11A is performance tuned for dry and wet conditions, but like all summer tires it is not intended to be driven in near-freezing temperatures, through snow or on ice.

Sharing the tread design of the popular Potenza RE-11, the Potenza RE-11A adds an exclusive tread compound that combines silica with a new long-link carbon black to increase road contact and abrasion resistance while promoting tread rubber flexibility across a range of cool to hot temperatures. The asymmetric tread design features Bridgestone's 3D Seamless Stealth technology that combines massive independent outboard shoulder blocks interlocked with notches in the circumferential intermediate rib to deliver the lateral tread stiffness needed to enhance steering response and cornering traction. Inboard, a continuous intermediate and notched shoulder rib are separated by wide, straight circumferential grooves that provide water evacuation to resist hydroplaning and enhance wet traction".

'nuther update: the 11As are not avail. in 19" (at TireRack) so I guess it'll be the RE-11s for me. Anyone know if the RE-11As are avail. anywhere else in 19"?

The closest size to original rear I found is (RE-11): Rear: 285/35 R19 (Orig. Fnt. 245/40, Rear 275/35). Close enough for me.
