My Forged Specialties Mesh Wheels

So i've mounted up my Forged Specialties Mesh wheels to do little photo shoot today.

The wheels are great quality. many thanks to Chris@wheelsdirectonline.com who put in so much effort in getting this done, and i think the result is fantastic. I really love the wheels and it was a pleasure to work with Chris and Forged Specialties. They are making their debut any day now so go check them out!

They are 19x9.5 with a 255/40/19 and 19x10.5 with a 285/35/19
wrapped in hankook ventus v12 evo's

the face is Hyperblack and the lip is polished aluminum (4.5 inch rear lip, 2 or 2.5 up front, i forget :P)

a drop will be coming at some point

now, pics :)

Very Nice Looking Wheels

Chris_1 08-20-2010 10:54 PM

Car came out great, I must say though a little drop would be nice. I am so glad we went with the Hyperblack, it truly does look awesome with the black.

Waiz 08-20-2010 11:52 PM

They look great, congrats.

+3 on the drop, like yesterday.

reverse lip? you mean, step lip? Not sure, ask Chris.

lemansz20 08-21-2010 06:04 PM

Love doesnt fully describe my feeling for these wheels, how come no one else is showing up with these wheels. I need more cars to get jealous of b/c I cant afford these wheels most likely.

Chris_1 08-23-2010 10:34 AM

Let me know if you guys are looking for a set, 3 piece forged wheels for pricing I truly must say is amazing. The only company with the same quality as everyone else, and nothing charging you body parts to get them haha.

FuszNissan 08-23-2010 11:12 AM

Those look really nice!

Chris_1 08-23-2010 11:16 AM

Let me know Fus, you know I will take care of you.

Jeffblue 08-23-2010 12:07 PM

Chris,

Could you post the weights on here, i've been getting a few questions about them and i'm not 100% sure

NYBladeZ 08-23-2010 12:22 PM

I think it's just me but the tires make the wheels look smaller than 19"

Jeffblue 08-23-2010 12:27 PM

yea they are a little beefy. but i wanted to eat up some of the wheel gap and maintain a similar overall diameter to stock. The rears are the same size that come on the Nismo stock, and the fronts have only .15 inches more sidewall than stock.

kenchan 08-23-2010 12:38 PM

dayam, look at that lip on the back! :D

Chris_1 08-23-2010 02:58 PM

The car just needs a drop and it should hide the massive tires.

wishihadnav 08-23-2010 05:09 PM

looks good..yes the massive tires need to be hidden with a drop!

NYBladeZ 08-23-2010 05:19 PM

looks good man, I love the massive tires, hopefully with a drop it won't cause any rubbing issues...

as far as the massive tires and the drop, i'm probably gonna go with the Swift springs (if they come out soon enough) if not i'll go with H&R. but drop is definitely gonna happen.

And their is light at the end of the tunnel:tup: I kid I kid, car looks great.

CBRich 08-24-2010 08:51 PM

I'd also love to know the weight of these.

so i dont drive a 370 but i have the same mesh wheels comeing soon...chris was great and helped move everything along nicely... let me say those wheels look beautiful on you car!!!!! im seriously jealous mine arnt here yet:(

Chris_1 08-24-2010 11:05 PM

Guys the wheels weight about 27lbs both front and rear. The reason is the back pad on the front wheel to clear the brakes and keep the wheel flat equals the weight of the rear. Its funny b/c i was confused when I put the wheels on the scale, b/c i thought I grabbed the same one twice.

By the way, WHATS UP Rali, I knew you couldnt keep away. I introduce to you guys my other customer Zach, ordered a set of forged specialties for his lancer and I have been telling him consistently to join the forum and see the wheels. He finally did it, and now he is jealous haha, Zach you are the man. Jeff I told you people are jealous of you.

AK370Z 08-24-2010 11:08 PM

Very nice man!:tup: You need to drop the Z STAT! Thanks for sharing.

lemansz20 08-24-2010 11:12 PM

I agree with AK drop for the win, but I LOVE the style on the car. It truly looks great, and it gives the Z that racey style it deserves. I love that color, I found your old thread again and its crazy how different light hits it and looks different colors. I think when you drop it, its going to look insane with those tires. This company is definately on the right path with styles like this.

Great work Chris!

Chris_1 08-24-2010 11:36 PM

The X factor is built like a 23 if i remember correctly to JUST clear it. Typically though haha, we will be building for a little more room in the future with this company just in case someone wants to go bigger then the akebonos.

Edit: My mistake thats the front, which I am pretty sure is 50 on the x factor, and this one was built the same.

yea that is the front. that massive caliper required a HUGE back pad to clear the brake

Rali, put up some pics of your car in your profile if you haven't yet. i want to see how it looks before and after the wheels are put on :)
