Guys, help me out with my setup. I want to get these same tires in a 255/35/19 up front and 285/35/19s in the rear.
Is this a good combination or am I going to small in the fronts ? |
I just ordered my RE-11's today. Hope to have installed on my new wheels this weekend. Look for my pics to come. My are also 265/35/19 & 305/30/19's.

atleast 295's  I wana get 305's |
The closest thing they got without going 305s is 285 according to tirerack.com
Would a 255 front and 285 rear plow too much ? Looks like i might have to go with the 265/305 setup... |
I am going with 285 all around next year. I had 265/285 last year, the car already plowed too much. I can't imagine even wider tires in the back.
I will sell you guys my 265 if you want it :) |
It only seems obvious that a 265/285 would plow less than 265/305 setup.
Hmm.. looks like i might just go with the 265/285 |
It's hard to see iin the video, but I fought harder and harder to get rid of the plow as my front tires got older YouTube - 370z autox
The back end don't really have traction issue unless I come off a slow corner where I lift the inner rear. I personally like the feel of the smaller tire, car just feels more tossable and easier to heat up |
Cossie1600... what sizes would you recommend i go with if i end up getting the RE11's ?
|
if you are a novice driver 265 35 19 and 285 35 19 are great as the speedo is nearly 100% accurate and has a nice understeer to save your butt, do prepare for it to get worse as front tires wear down. 37.5 front tire pressure and 39.5 rear yielded best result at track and the same 2 psi difference worked great at the track
i am going with 285 all around, 275 only comes in 30 profile if i recall correctly. i wouldnt mind 295 except i am not a big fan of pinching it on the 9" rim in the front. its great for autox, but i dont want to do that when i am commuting |
I just want to understand correctly. Are you guys running stock suspenion with these setups and no spacers. Can I run 265 fronts and 285 rears with stock susp and no spacers. Or not recomended.
