Default Cosmis xt206

Hey guys,
recently looking for a more aggressive set up with my nismo and ran across the comsis xt206's

I really like that they come in aggressive *** sizes and was looking at these

18 x 9.5 et 10

18 x 11 et 8

obviously gonna need a bit of camber to fit the fronts but I had 2 major concerns

my current set up are advan gt's

18 x 10 et 35

18 x 12 et 27

and im still sunken in!!!! shouldve listened to option zero

anywayssss my concerns are

1 can i fit the fronts with my stock brakes?

2 Im afraid the rears will still be sunken in. I plan on putting 315/30's in the rear and 275/35's in the front which is basically what I have now. Do you guys think the fitment will be proper in the rear poke-wise?

camber is -2.7 all around but im planning to go -4 all around

what do you guys think? Thanks in advance

If I want to be aggressive, you should be shopping 19 or 20 inch wheels. Only track cars make 18s look good

And

What suspension components do you have

Aggressive in terms of poke, but I just love the 18's. I used to have 19's and they look cool but at times and I cant explain it but I just love the way the 18's look and they let me go as low as I want. Also, I have KW V3, SPL rear camber arms, spc rear toe bolts, and I have front spl camber plates on order

offset and width wise, what do you think?

there's no difference in how low you can go with 20 or 19 inch wheels since you're going to reduce the tire profile along the way

with those suspension components you can fit whatever you want with a competent alignment shop, certainly those specs above will fit

i just think 18s look like **** unless you're a track car. the Z has too big a gap to fill
cooltoy likes this.

maybe ill be able to change your mind about 18's once theyre installed haha! i feel like even with the 11 et 8 in the rear it will still not poke enough, what do you think, and I tried to see what width your rears were but it said 20x20 in your build thread

you think you're gonna show me something about how 18's look when there's an entire thread on the topic and every single non-track car with them looks like crap?

sorry man

I am running 20x12 +20 w/ 315/25 at around -2 camber. There is still 2 finger gap, i could have done an 20x11 +0 or (if it existed at the time), 20x12 +13. Or gone with a 3pc wheel for something in that range

If you really want it to be more aggressive, it is hard to find 18 inch wheels with even lower offsets. Off the top of my head there might be some TE37v that come in a super duper aggressive spec and thats it. To get better, you'll need to go 3pcs wheels

3 pcs wheels are expensive, so if you're spending money to go 3pcs and you STILL stick with 18, well . . . you really like setting money on fire because there aren't many dumber ways to spend money in this scenario

Cosmis are cheap wheels. I'm not trying to be mean, it's just the reality of the situation, they are meant to be an entry level wheel used for drifters that don't care if they get busted up, like CSTs or MBs and what not. The sizes they come in are about as aggressive as available in the price range

bottom line:
be happy with what you got
or
pay to play

EDIT:
Oh, and i actually have a fuckin' set of 18's sitting around. Enkei RS05RR, 18x11 +15 all around. They're awaiting track tires for use . . . on the track.

love those RS05RR's! I was entertaining the idea of ccs classics, but right now I would way rather spend the mula on oil cooler, short shifter

I know cosmis are cheap, I just like the look and want some proper fitment. What proper sized offsets and widths can I find in 19's around +-2k? do i have any options? You might have convinced me
Preferably a 11" width a 0 offset would be perfect, even 11.5 with a 0 offset would be better

You probably need to double your budget for new, but you may get lucky shopping used

Camp out the for sale sections of GTRLIFE, Zilvia, and yahoo Japan proxies

I actually can't think of any one piece wheel that comes in 19x11 +0
Closest is the TE37 ultra which can be ordered in 20x11 +0 (not sure if still available)

EDIT:
Forgot about Forgestar. They can make you custom offsets I believe, and offer some concave face one pieces wheels to your desired spec. Not sure if your budget is enough since I've never dealt with them

Contact GetYourWheels, a vendor here that seems to be a partner of theirs

Size ranges:

The sizes available are worse than what you already have though. I thought you wanted more aggressive?

18x10.5 +12 or 18x11 +18 is the best they got

Also check with your retailer about brake clearance. My experience is that their barrels are quite thick on the single piece wheels. I had 18 inch XD9s and the barrel did not clear 350Z rotors

I cant figure out how to post it but they have a white nismo running them, and they look pretty proper in the rear. The photo is running a 11x18 but a 10.5 is basically the same thing. Plus if I run the same size tire technically ill get that much more poke
