Forgestar M14

Anyone running a set of Forgestar M14? I'm really interested in the wheel but can't find anything on Google images. -Richard

Not the same wheels, but similar in looks.

If forgestar can make Z fitment I'm going to be getting a set. I read somewhere that these wheels were designed for widebody cars so the offsets don't work for every car. But then again I don't know anything about what offsets will fit our cars

GetYourWheels 07-10-2017 12:53 PM

We actually built a set for a 370z with sport calipers in 18x9.5 and 18x10.5

18X9.5 is on the Left
18x10.5 is on the Right

Definitely a more realistic look at these wheels where widebody isn't at play here.

What would be some good offsets on these wheels in 19 inch diameter ?

cooltoy 09-22-2017 11:22 PM

I don't think the diameter of the wheel effects the offset.

I ordered a set in the same fitment as the F14s except I opted for 18in. So no it doesn't affect the offsets. I'll post up pics as soon as I get them in.

Edit: It may be the different style of wheel, but the standard F14 offsets for the fronts that Jason recomends will not work for the M14s

What offsets did you get?

James10694 09-23-2017 09:31 PM

18x9.5 +20 18x11 +15

James10694 09-23-2017 09:32 PM

Same as the F14s

James10694 10-27-2017 03:38 PM

Wheels came in today. I have to thank Jason for the exceptional customer service. Getyourwheels overnighted them from cali to me. Tires should be coming soon.

Looks good, what specs are the wheels and what tire sizes did you go with?

Any pics with the tires on? Looks great!

James10694 12-04-2017 09:05 PM

I haven't gotten around to mounting the fronts yet. My Z is still at specialty Z waiting on the tune, I'll post more pics when I get the car back. Tires are Mickey Thompson Et Street SS 305/40/18

Looking aggressive!!!

James10694 12-26-2017 10:34 PM

Forgot to update y'all. The fronts don't clear the sport brakes with the offsets I bought. So if anyone decides to get the M14s I'd highly recommend you make sure the offsets will work. I'm going to try a 5mm spacer up front. I may have been able to get away with a 2.5 mm spacer but I'd rather be safe than sorry at this point.

OptionZero 12-27-2017 03:19 PM

It's pretty disappointing that your retailer or the wheel mfg didn't check for the caliper clearance before selling you these. It's not like the Z34 is a new platform; hell, the G37 uses the same calipers. They should know what fits that brake setup.

If you wanted 18's why not just get something light and one-piece? Enkei's, used Te37's will clear anything.

Spending money on 3 pcs . . . i'd want uber aggressive sizing.

For me I wanted something that not very many people had. I believe there's only one other 370z owner with these wheels and I've had TE37s, they just don't do it for me.

As for the wheels, they claimed they did clear the sport brakes. Kind of sucks, but in the end I hope that 5mm works out.

James10694 12-29-2017 03:27 PM

I got the 5mm spacer on for the front wheels. Unfortunately it was still not enough to clear the sport brakes. I'm going to call getyourwheels to see if there's anything they can do

James10694 01-02-2018 01:35 PM

Jason and Josh at getyourwheels have been very helpful and they have amazing customer service. They're going to contact forgestar to figure out a solution to get this resolved.

OptionZero 01-03-2018 12:46 AM

Forgestar has other wheels that don't fit the fronts, it's annoying. None of their super deep concave options clear them

Im pretty sure that i have super deep F14s on front and they clear sport breaks, but they do stick out a bit....

OptionZero 01-03-2018 11:26 AM

I've asked, they said it didn't, and i've never seen anyone run it in front unless there's a spacer to clear, at which point it doesn't really clear

my point was that it's a strike against Forgestar for them not to have tested that. The company can get test cars or just use templates to check wheel clearance before selling the wheels without that knowledge

Ever seen a size chart from Rays? There's an huge chunk of info on there

Pretty sure or 100% sure? Also, what offset are you running in front as I was told the same thing.

James10694 - Sorry to hear they didn't fit. I was really forward to seeing how the complete setup looked as the rears look mean.

The good news is forgestar will be making me a new set of front wheels. The bad news is I'll be deployed until June so I won't be able to put them on until then.

M14 with sport brakes

3 Attachment(s)
M14 on sport brakes.I put one one so you can see.
Front 19x 9.0 + 18 Wanted 9.5 in front put Forgestar could not do.
Rear 19x 11.0 +18
Tires 255/35/19 and 305/30/19
I like the wheels but took 5 months to get.

James10694 01-11-2018 06:09 PM

Forgestar offered to make me a new front set in those specs. It took 3 month to get my current M14s. Hopefully it doesn't take 5 to get the fronts

OptionZero 01-11-2018 10:40 PM

thats an absurd wait for an american company

I think its because the M14 is a fairly new design. The F14s get built pretty quickly now but I believe at one point they were taking 2 months.

Would you also say the same about fast intentions wait times?

OptionZero 01-12-2018 11:20 AM

Fast intentions is a top exhaust option

Forgestar ....meh

I waited 5 months for my Te37 ultras. I'll wait for quality.

Forgestar replacing a wheel they ****** up to begin with in sizing?

Nah.

But if ur happy with them, cool.
