Anybody have any idea of how the weight of the new tire compares to the precious version?

I just asked Michelin this question for the tire sizes I have on order. Here is their response:

The Pilot Sport 4 S in a size 285/35ZR19 will weigh 30.49 lbs, and the Pilot Super Sport weights 30.67 lbs.

In a 325/30R19, the Pilot Sport 4 S weights 31.46 lbs, and the Pilot Super Sport weights 32.19 lbs.

Sweet. Thank you.

Question... So I'm debating these or the Continental extremecontact sport. Everything I'm reading is telling me these tires should be very very close, as in nearly every metric. And the Continental's are running a couple hundred cheaper on average. The old DW's got slapped around by the PSS, so that's why I'm a bit apprehensive about these newer ones. Any thoughts?

I really wanted to chime in, but I known nothing about the contact sport. But if history can tell me anything Michelin will have the edge, even if it's ever so slight. I just really like all the technology (odd word choice since its just rubber) that goes into Michelin's tires. Makes me feel safer and more confident

I just ordered a set of 285/35/19 on all fours of the Extremecontact Sport. Tirerack said they're doing a review in April putting these two together. I'll report back when I get them.

I should be mounting ps4s on the 10th. I wish you were closer, you could test my car against it and give feedback since were around the same hp&tq. It wouldn't be a 100% fair comparison but it could give an idea lol

Ordered mine today at discount tire for the 4s
255 front and 305 rear got a $80 rebate using the discount tire credit card.
$1.5k balanced and installed.

This 4S are slated better than the outgoing PSS.

You can dump those for some Riken Raptors and you will be better off. It doesn't take much to beat the stock RE050's.

It's just mind boggling that Nissan Corp. would even put this rubber on the Z's. It's all about the corporate bean counting.

I haven't seen German cars on Hankook tires, but I do not live in Singapore.

Ouch... I need to stock up on Michelins before I leave Germany. Prices are borderline ridiculous in the States.
