27540ZR19 for rear tires?
Got new tires the other day. Had to change the rear tires for there being a slit in the sidewall of my old rear tire. Got pirelli p zero Nero all season which is what my front tires are. Any thoughts on this size of tires for rear? I'm liking the feel of the drive on them so far

Unnecessarily tall. It's 27.7 inches, stock is 26.9

I wonder why it'd cause ecu problems? When I got these tires all the 275 came in was 40r or 40zr at its lowest. I wanted to get 275/35 but I wanted to match the same brand and tread as my front tires & I didn't think this little size difference would make a difference?

The width is fine but a whole inch taller is more than a little difference.
Guys will run a 28" tire at the drag strip, but that's only 11 seconds at a time :) |
i forget what the limit is but its not the tire height itself that will trigger an ECU issue, but the difference between front and rear tire height. So depends what you're running up front that determines if your speedo will go wonky
the bigger issue is . . . why would you want to go taller? looks worse, performs worse generally drag guys run taller tires because they're specifically trying to get to a certain gearing (top speed!) |
I just got this car recently and this is the size the previous owner had on it and I had to change the rear tires due to one of them having a slit in the outer wall. I wanted to match the tire brand and tread on my front so I had to get the same brand and in 275 that's the smallest height they came in :/ I blame the previous owner for this lol

Will I just be okay to run these until it's necessary to change them again? Or do yo guys recommend to change them right away

Oh and option zero I'm running 245/40zr19 up front
|
if ur dash isn't lighting up with error signals there's probably no issue
but FYI: Pirelli*P Zero Nero All Season Says this tire does not even come in 245/40/19 so u might wanna double check also, 275 is the WIDTH not the HEIGHT height is measured by taking the width, multiplying it by the aspect ratio, then . .. a, ****, the math is stupid. Just stick it into a Tire Height calculator. google it yourself lastly buying stuff then asking for advice is pretty dumb. research and ask questions AND THEN spend money based on the sizes listed i wouldn't run that tire at all. i'd just get some bridgestone 04 in OEM sizes and be happy. |
Option zero- I just checked my tires as I speak the fronts say 24540zr19 so I'm not sure if they're DC'd now or what but that's what I read. I'm not the one who got these tires in the first place since I bought the car used. And I'm very OCD about doing things properly when it comes to my cars. I tried researching on this forum if that tire size is okay.. couldn't find much. So I asked around to some people I know who know quite a bit about cars they told me I'd be okay..

And fronts also say P zero Nero all season

Get 285/35-19 if possible, the best match...275/40 can blunt the performance of the Car.
