Slip signal on high RPM

After my Z recently got a new set of Ventus V12 EVO2 installed on its four wheels, now I often see an yellow slip sign at high RPM above 6,000~7,000 on freeway.

Before this set I've run with Michelin PSS (2 times of full set) and I do not think I saw this yellow sign with them in the same situation. It has not rained here pretty for a while, so I'm sure that I drove on dry roads.

Is this common and normal on other Zs with non-PSS tires ? or do I need new better ones.. ?? Personally I do not even expect Ventus to go like the PSS, but just am worried about this that it might be dangerous.

If the light is coming on during hard acceleration, check the level in the brake fluid reservoir. Several threads on this.

It's not something you "get checked". Just look the next time you get in your car.

:iagree:

It is very easy to open the hood and remove the plastic cover to view the reservoir. Make sure the brake fluid is filled to the max line. If not, just top it off as this is likely your culprit.

Unfortunately V12's are NOT really performance tires.

They have crappy traction and are just popular because they are a cheaper alternative to RE050's replacement tires.

They're meant for dd and some occasional spirited driving not more than that.

Uhp is lower than Max Performance, which is what the SO4 and PSS is rated. It's pretty much the lowest tier of high performance summer tires.

It still isn't a very good tire. I have driven a few of my friends cars with them and have not been impressed.

Is it bad for daily driving, too ??

I mean, when driving at average speed on local/freeway.

No its more than fine for that and the occasional spirited run through a back road. There are just better options when it comes to performance.

Only time I enjoy my spirited driving is when I enter to the freeway from local by my own zero to sixty. Except that, I usually drive pretty safe.

Until now I've used two times of full PSS set, but I don't think I really need that expensive one.

V12s suck for performance IMO. As one of the few tires I've actually driven on a Z on a track :twocents:
