NISMO rear wheels on the front

Any one tried this yet? I have a extra set of fender and fiberglass... 1.2 inch wider on the fender looks easy enough.

jcosta79 02-19-2016 03:55 PM

I'm pretty sure the hubs are made so that you can't do this. That's why Nismo's can't put bolt on spacers on the front.

There is a bolt or something sticking out of the front wheel hubs. The front wheels have a notch that allows the wheel to fit on the hub over the bolt. The rears do not have the notches. This prevents people from fitting the rear wheels on the front. If you have aftermarket wheels this is usually not a problem since the manufacturers account for this.

cjwsrt6 02-19-2016 04:19 PM

You can remove the nut and they'll fit, a guy in Birmingham runs 10.5 rears all around no problem

kenchan 02-19-2016 05:23 PM

yah, that stud is just screwed on and as long as the spoke clears the calipers should fit fine. not sure how it induces tramlining though.

kenchan 02-19-2016 05:25 PM

but the other comment about bolt-on spacers.. if the stock studs are not hitting the back of the wheel disc u can use bolt-on spacers. or u can even grind the stock ones shorter if ure really committed to that wheel.

It's been done a few times. Running the rears on the front, and using spacers on the rear to bring it out to match. All you have to do is remove the bolt on the front hub. You have to do it anyway with aftermarket rims too. Most do not account for the bolt.

How long have you been a member of this board?

barncobob 02-19-2016 08:23 PM

jcosta79 02-19-2016 08:24 PM

Ah, my bads. Didn't realize it was a simple bolt. Carry on.

How do you like them so far, trying to decide if I want to try this or go with the staggered nismo setup

Why don’t you just go 285/35/19 all around with the Nismo 10.5 up front?

Louievee0413 09-16-2017 04:34 PM

I'm really interested in doing this as well.

That would look insane. lol

PharmDZ 09-17-2017 10:48 PM

Would love to try this setup out... already running 4 OEM Rear sport Rays on 2 sets of track tires. That extra half inch of rim would fit a bit more tire, always welcomed...

Louievee0413 09-18-2017 07:36 PM

with the rear nismo wheels on the front how much do they really stick out from the fender? do you really have to pull the fenders a lot? I know op hasn't said anything in a really long time. Just hoping that maybe someone will see this in new posts.

You don't need a pull at all

there's nothing magical about the nismo rears, they're a wheel like any other wheel.

The size is 19x10.5 +23.

Height, camber, and tire size will affect whether you need to touch the fenders at all.

If you're running a wide size like a 285, you probably should roll your fenders

littlejuanito 09-20-2017 01:53 PM

Anyone have pictures of the 10.5 square Nismo Wheel setup?

Kamillio 01-23-2018 11:38 AM

Anyone? haha

milmast 02-28-2019 12:09 AM

Working on it! Waiting to get tires mounted

I've seen more people running the 370 Nismo V1 wheels, but have you seen anyone running a square set of Nismo V2s?

OptionZero 03-01-2019 09:48 AM

It's the exact same size so it will fit the same
