355/30/19

Is anybody running this size tire?

Rusty 11-21-2015 07:40 PM

No one I know of. :( There is only about 3 tires in that size. Which one you interested in? They all take a 12.5" rim. My set-up. 345/30-19 on 19x12, +28, camber -1.75. I have about one inch clearance with the rear shock and sidewall. The tread is under the fender, but the sidewall sticks out a little. If I was running a true coilover in the rear. Think the spring may rub the tire on cornering. If not, it would be close. With a 355, it would be interesting. Think you would also have to run a 295~305 in the front to keep the understeer in check.

Go ahead and do it.

I'd love to run those sizes but my opinion is just too much tire for a stock car

Correct, Ive autocrossed multiple sets of the kumho xs, probably 10 or so and loved the tire, ran it as a street tire on my crossfire as well. Im hoping the v720 tire gets some 19" sizes soon.
But when I upgrade to a z06 this is what ill run

I'm hoping they come out with 295/35-19 and a 345/30-19.

I ran 305/30/19 on my 06 997 C4 and they were HUGE, too much tire for 350HP, but im not an engineer either.

Im looking at the P Zeros Rusty. Im running a 345/30/19 right now but looking put together a nicer wheel and tire combo. My plans are for a 12.5 rear wheel with 355's. I have no rubbing issues with my 345's lowered on HandR springs.

That's good to hear that you have no issues being lower. Question, how much lower, and wheel specs are you with the 345's?

19x12 et 28 in the rear with Nitto Invo tires. If i remember correctly my camber is at 1.5 . The H and R springs are an inch in the front and 1.5 in the rear.

Gonna follow this to see how it turns out :) looking at same wheel specs. Maybe not such a wide tire but more info is always good.

That's the same rim specs as I have. With the PSS's, I just make the fender edge. What specs you planning on with the 355's?

If you check the link I posted at the bottom you will see that at least one Pirelli tire runs slimmer than one Michelin tire (don't know if that is the same for all the respective brands tires). Also, the Viper used to run 345 Michelins on the same wheel width (12 inch) before they switched to the 355 Pirelli tires, so I would assume that you will see minimal difference in tire width. If anything, the Michelin may still be a bit wider. You will confirm this of course, I am just speculating:stirthepot:

Look here for tire width comparison
