Tirerack told me there might be rubbing issues with 265/275 rear. Are they just being extremely safe when reccomending tire fitments or might there be an issue?

Believe me there is absolutely no chance of rubbing with the stock wheels. You have to go to at least a 12" wheel and totally mess up the offset calculation for that to happen. I have 275 front and a 305 rear on the sport wheels and you can practically make a fist in the gap.
