Ryan was tapped out on that Road Race pump we were working on for Eddie. Unfortunately it got the best of him and we weren't able to complete the job. We gave it a shot. It's hard for Ryan to admit defeat but this time he was defeated. Thanks for hanging out this weekend Eddie and at least some of the work is already done when you take it to a shop for install!

:eekdance:

JENZ 07-16-2014 09:52 AM

The parts are in town and I'll probably pick them up tomorrow. Any takers???

Both are pre drilled? How much do you want for each? Glad to hear everything is good so far.

JENZ 07-16-2014 11:19 PM

Vegas Speak Up!

700 for each. Yes they are pre-drilled.

Edit: kinda want to sell them together though because if I can't sell em I will just use em. Just need the $$$ to pay medical bills but I also don't want to get stuck with one piece and not the other lol.

Further edit: hospital bill was $27k. Thank god for insurance. I only owe $2433.

should be runnin' cooler than that, my brother...any circumstances...?!? tracking?

JENZ 07-21-2014 07:32 PM

No jaybulls that's an appropriate temp to run in traffic in this heat.

hiya, jenz...hope everything is goin' good re. your health issues...

that being said: i'd have to happily disagree (so far) on 220 being a "cool" operating temp in traffic w/FI's oil cooler...

the reason i bought tony's mod was because i was always runnin' 220, sometimes 230, last spring/summer even in light traffic, short trips...

now, it takes a while to get to optimal temp 190 and with spirited driving up to 45 (50) into 4th gear around town i approach and then run at 200 and sometimes that cools down. if'n i run the 215 for 40 miles or so she stays closer to 190ish...which, ironically, i'm afraid will be too cool in the winter months...

all in all, very glad i bought the unit...happy with mr. ryan's install and pricing, and hope all is WELL with you guyz...

must say, thou, have not been stuck in freeway traffic yet...fingers crossed...

Different than my experience. While it's unusual to hit 220 right away, at 5pm when it's 106 out and I'm driving home from work, it does happen. That's when the torque cut kicks in. I only live 7 miles from work but it's not freeway travel and it is in traffic. I also have the FI cooler.

One thing that may be impacting yours is the fact that you've got three extra quarts of oil flowing around due to your oil pan upgrade.

yeah, i thought 'bout that afterwards...the extra monies spent on the deeper pan and the under shroud, vented, that master ryan loved may have indeed made the 10/15 degree diff.---i'm just guessing it was a lil' under 8 large...

James10694 07-25-2014 10:21 PM

Hey guys sorry I haven't been on the forum in a while. I'm in Puerto Rico! Anyways, oil temps were barely 220 because I was at about 6000 ft elevation in traffic climbing up Mt Charleston. Outside temps were around 95 degrees. So yes I think the f.I. oil cooler does an excellent job at keeping temps down. On top of that I was doing flybys at 9000 ft elevation as you can see in my exhaust video. Temps never passed 220 degrees. I hope this answers you're questions. :o

Hotrodz 07-25-2014 11:37 PM

Hi guys, I don't think any of the posted temps are high given the extreme heat. I'm boosted with the same oil cooler, Greddy oil pan, zSpeed under tray and my temp will vary between 195 and 220 in traffic depending on how hard I push the car and whether or not I have clean air. I the winter my temps are between 160 and 180, but I can get them higher if I run at higher rpm levels. I don't have a sandwich plate and so far so good. I think the key in the winter for me as I'm at 3500' is to let the car and oil temps warm up before making the engine work hard.

Infamous 07-26-2014 01:13 PM

230° in stop and go traffic is my highest temp. Outside temp was 115°. I'm also boosted. I hit 220° on a daily basis and pretty modest driving.

JENZ 07-26-2014 01:47 PM

Conclusion: The extra oil capacity of the greddy and/or that company who is dropping the ball's oils pans make a difference.

JENZ 07-26-2014 01:48 PM

Last chance on the Fujimura parts I have here. If not they are getting installed tomorrow.

JENZ 07-26-2014 11:21 PM

Tomorrow we are attempting a fiberglass mold of the 13+ lack of fang area so I can make a carbon fiber lip thing similar to what Evo-r makes for the 12's and older.

jenz...you mentioned "dropping the ball" re. the GTM oil pan---not sure what you mean...?

JENZ 07-27-2014 11:10 PM

Gtm as a company is dropping the ball.

EOS showcase is this Saturday at veterans memorial park in Boulder City. Should be a really big car show. We are participating with our car club. You guys are welcome to check it out. Spectating is free and show goes until 10pm I believe.

Hotrodz 07-29-2014 08:42 AM

Sound like fun, I might make the cruise up there! Let me know what time you guys will be there!

JENZ 07-29-2014 01:11 PM

Show starts at 5 for spectators. We arrive at 10 am.

Hotrodz 07-29-2014 03:14 PM

That makes for a long day for you guys if you are going to be there until 10 p.m.

JENZ 07-29-2014 04:24 PM

Sure does. We meet up at 8 am to roll in by 10.

JENZ 07-29-2014 04:25 PM

Going to hopefully lay the carbon fiber in the mold today. Hopefully it comes out good.

regardless of this, i'm glad they dropped the intake "ball" deeper into their pan...seems to be helping me run a lot cooler...

This time it's all me. Ryan's helped in some ways with a little sanding, dremel cutting, and holding it. But I'm taking the credit cause I've done 97% of the work. :P

JENZ 07-30-2014 11:34 PM

Didn't work this go around. The casting shrank. Next time I get the cash for more cf I'll be doing this as a male mold instead.

JENZ 08-01-2014 10:23 PM

Reminder, EOS is tomorrow starting at 5 for spectators in Boulder City at Veterans Memorial Park.

JENZ 08-03-2014 10:37 AM

My clubmate Joe and his 05 infiniti g35 sedan. It's vortech supercharged. http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/08/03/uzasa9ev.jpg

We swept the category. :P

James10694 08-03-2014 07:58 PM

Niice! The CF side blades really pull the car together
Your Z in my opinion is a lot cleaner, just my .02
