Would you guys be interested in a LV/Phoenix meet up? It's not too far apart to make a day trip out of, or a weekender... With enough coordination I'm sure we could get quite a few br0s together.

Any takers?

Maybe meet up in Flagstaff or something and cruise through the roads in that area?

so who has the 370z with GTR style front fenders? i dont usually like that stuff but those fit well with the body lines!

I'm moving to Vegas...where should I look to buy a home? Where are the best places to own a home in Vegas?

flynushi 10-03-2010 09:38 PM

depends, and everybody has different opinions.

how much are you going to spend? how nice of a home?

i consider these good area's:
Mountains edge, Rhodes Ranch, Nevada Trails, Southern Highlands, 7 Hills, Anthem, just about anywhere in south Henderson (not east so much), Green Valley, Aliante, Summerlin.

theres a lot of places in between that are good, but they are not "master planned communities" so I left them out.

Thanks for the info! Like I said, I'm headed that way in a month or so, just trying to get an idea. I'm 30, single, no kids, and am getting sick of renting. Looking for the typical burbs, 200k - 300k, with a pool. I've seen a ton of these houses on the interwebs, and just didn't want to get my heart set on a great house in a "not good" location. I've seen several houses in the areas you've listed, so I think I'm on the right track. Thanks for the feedback, Cjanik!

if you like quiet areas and don't mind the long drive, anywhere close to aliante is good. I live up here and when my family got the house it was about 280K? It's a nice big ish house =]

I have a buddy of mine who is in Vegas now helping his sister move. He said that she mentioned Aliante as well. Thanks for the info flynushi!

Aliante is the best bang for your buck right now as far as home prices go. Nice area, quiet, everything is new. Only downside is that it doesn't have as many restaraunts/commercial areas as say Summerlin. I have lived in Aliante for 4 years now and love it. Plus it's less than 10 miles from Las Vegas Motor Speedway :).

do you get a lot of jets flying overhead from the NAFB in Aliante?

Do you have a yellow 370Z by any chance? I live in aliante. I have a white base.
