yes! on saturday, go to the NASA HPDE event at PIR and people will let you try on their helmets - particularly if you have a balaclava! haha

don't think there is any comprehensive selection at a local vendor, unfortunately... could be wrong

Yup, east track. Will be the second time I have done east. I should be able to get lower lap times than last time, traffic permitting.

FIR east is all about the brakes... you'll want to have a brake pad with great feel and one that keeps performing when it gets hot... you on stock suspension? I found that it helps to underdamp the front compression to get more front tire bite... For whatever reason, I just don't do my best at FIR East - only running low 1:06's there... I may go there just to see if I can get in the 3s or 4s with a softer brake compound up front and my ABS now enabled... Tried running it w/o ABS last time and that was not good

XP10's front and back and Motul RBF600 fluid and my brakes worked great there and Arroyo Seco. I have never had the icing issue that people talk about or over heating either. I am on BC Racing BR series coilovers. I will keep you idea for more front bite in mind. Might have to try it out.
