Sdr128 07-09-2013 06:40 PM

Either day would be great for me; however, the 3rd would be more preferable. But like I said I can do either. Sounds like a great time. Would have hated to beat her up on the track with no oil cooler yet :/

Aww dang. I'm a new 370z owner and was hoping to get involved but can't make the date. I had a few jeeps in the past and it was fun having a vehicle that has an enthusiast community. I'm sure all of you Z owners will be just as great. Maybe I can make it to the next one.... Good luck!

Oh and could someone brief me on the pros and cons of the pulley mod? I just put ARK grip on the car and will be adding things as the budget allows. HFC's and a tune will be sometime in the future but maybe I can get In on this pulley if I think it's worth it.

We would love to see you at the next meet! Going to try to have one each month, next one should be in Denver. Subscribe to this thread for updates.

From what I understand the pulleys can give you a bit more torque down low. The best bang for your buck horsepower-wise is definitely the HFC's, but from what I understand you do actually lose torque down low with HFC's and CBE unless you get a tune. Based off that I would say the pulleys would be a very worthwhile upgrade since what I miss the most from my 350 is the low down torque.

Thanks for taking the time to reply. I actually did a bit of research on the pulley upgrade and it makes sense now. Lighter and different ratio at crank and accessories but overall the same ratio. Looks like a good upgrade. I've got ARK exhaust and planning on HFCs, intake, and a tune when I can afford all three. I don't want to screw up my AFR too much so I'm doing it all at once when money allows.

Plans changed and I may be able to make the gtg tomorrow:) will probably bring the wife too. She actually thinks its cool that we are part of an enthusiast group now.

Shadezz 08-03-2013 07:58 AM

See ya there today folks!!! Also if anyone wants after....the golden cruise starts about 4pm and is one of the biggest events you'll ever see here in Denver.

ajperretta 08-03-2013 10:27 AM

I've been looking around for tuning for myself and I found these guys Welcome to MAC Autosport

Maybe one of these days we could try to set up a meet at this place and get a good deal on a dyno day with tuning. Anyone interested?

jgibbons 08-03-2013 01:50 PM

Very down for a group dyno/tune.

these guys look legit as well.
Revolutions Performance

Sdr128 08-03-2013 07:58 PM

Awesome day guys!!! Glad I got to meet all of you and am looking forward to the next meet

ajperretta 08-03-2013 11:01 PM

Fun day! Revolution performance does look like a pretty legit place too. The only thing I saw though - they don't use dynojet for the dyno. I'm sure they probably can tune a car wonderfully, but dynojet seems to be a standard for measurement/power numbers. If you ever share your numbers w other folks, it's easier for everyone to be measured on the same type of dyno. Maybe I'm wrong about dynojet? Idk ...

They look superb for tuning though. I'm more interested in the tuning aspect than the dyno part but I know a lot of folks like dyno numbers.

Chuy 08-04-2013 12:18 PM

I bitched out from the washed out roads, stuff was hitting my front bumper.

troysmith370Z 08-06-2013 04:18 PM

Those roads where awesome! I found a huge branch stuck under my car yesterday. And side note I did record from my car..... but the camera is low I'm the car so it sucks. Jesh you need to help me upload them.

Chuy 08-14-2013 09:27 AM

Okay lets get this going again, which city is hosting and when and where are we meeting. There is an SCCA event here this weekend in the Springs and another on 15 September. Downside is that its gonna cost us $50 each.

Dang.... I'm out for work on both dates:(

Chuy 08-15-2013 09:00 PM

I feel stupid because my baby is back in the auto shop. I was planning to go with out my car.

Chuy 08-16-2013 09:46 AM

FYI, I have a homie that lives in Japan. I'm trying to get him to get me the JDM keychain. Last I checked it was going to be around 70 bucks plus shipping-so its not for the faint of hearts. Just curious who else would like one, I'm trying to set it up so you pay him directly.

ajperretta 08-18-2013 12:55 AM

The wife got a job waaaay out past durango in a town called cortez, so we are moving on a whim. This is probably my last saturday on the front range for awhile. I'll be sure to check for get togethers when I'm back on the front range visiting. Anyone interested in a drive to cripple creek this saturday? Never been there, but it looks like it may be a decent drive and something to see.

Chuy 08-22-2013 11:03 AM

What about the 14th! At High Plains have to find out more info.

There is an event on the 4th but its $99 and you only get two sesion, I haven't found out yet how long the sessions will be. It also is at High Plains

Chuy 08-22-2013 11:34 AM

$130 for members and 150 for non-members, I dont think a lot of us will pony up that much cash. So I think the track is out of the question.

SCCA had an event on the 15 here in the Springs.

Shadezz 08-23-2013 07:48 PM

I'm down for something labor day weekend!!

Mac Autosport in Parker

EDIT: I left a poor review about Mac Autosport in Parker and everything has been righted more than needed. I initially had to pay to correct a tune, but after a conversation with the shop owner, he told me I shouldn't have had to pay. I needed some more work done on my supercharger and went back to MAC and even though some extra time was needed to complete the project I was only billed at the quoted price. Everyone at the shop is very knowledgeable and helpful. I just had to update my review to reflect the corrected help I received at the shop.

Just an FYI about people looking for Uprev tuning in Colorado. I went to Mac Autosport in Parker to get Uprev tuned, and be aware they will get the job done, but they don't stand behind their projects. Got my 370Z Uprev dyno tuned at about a month and a half ago, and about 2 weeks after I started getting a Check Engine Light. I got an appointment to get this fixed back at Mac Autosport. They had the car in the shop for 40 minutes to change two settings that should have been set during the initial tune and ended up charging me for another 1 hour of shop labor. The issue may be fixed now, but paying double to fix something that should have been set the first time doesn't seem right.

Sorry to hear it! I've had great luck there and have been recommending them highly!

They did my uprev, a rear diff and oil cooler and have been great!

Not disagreeing with you, just surprised because I really have had good luck there.

Good deal! I just bought some new tires for 1200, and I stayed on the frugal side. 850 is a killer deal for sport tires.
